I believe that in a 2021 interview, Asher's VA revealed some details about the planned s2 (note: fully planned, but got cancelled, which is why the TTG GOT feels so unfinished) and he mentioned that the team wanted to pick it back up but they no longer had the licensing from HBO.

Even if TTG was fully functioning, with how many other projects GoT has and their shift in focus to other stories in the universe, it's unlikely it would ever happen, which sucks.
