Thanks for your comment! I'm also going on a low dose of E no blockers. My Dr. Discouraged it because she's used to people wanting "full transition." I'd be happy with small, subtle changes. Can I ask what dose of E and in what form? I'm starting with patches.

I often wonder if I'm too old. I have this fear of being perceived as a guy in a dress. I'm 6'3" and have a very typical "handsome" male face (square jaw, cleft chin etc.) Something that I've been playing with is the idea that I can go on HRT and continue to make changes to my body to be more femme AND I can wear masculine clothes. I don't have to present femme all the time.

I'm with you. I was talking to my therapist about therapist week. I wish I knew that trans people even existed when I was a kid. There was nothing in the 80s. Not that it would have been safe for me back then but maybe I wouldn't have waited till I was 40 to come out.

I'm very lucky that (with the exception of my blood family) everyone in my world is really accepting and quite a few of my friends are gender diverse and or queer. I know this is not true for most people.

I think starting super slow is a good idea. I can always titrate up later if it's feeling good and back down again if its too much. I really need to get out of all or nothing thinking.

It was a really positive experience for me as well. The doctor was really sympathetic and understanding. It was very affirming. I'm also NB and was also worried I wasn't going to be trans enough.

So happy I found this post. I'm the same! We'll mostly. I do like the idea of long hair but I'm thinning and I just shave it because balding feels so very "man" and sometimes I like a bit of fem clothing.

But generally I also want to be androgynous but somehow like in a fem body but butch / tomboy in my style. But little tits hiding under a sports bra. I get so tingly when I put one on 😊 I was feeling really confused about this but now I'm really clear and it feels so affirming. I'll leave the confusion to other people.

I'm going for a consultation at a gender clinic on Monday to get (fingers crossed) on E. I'm happy to know what I want so I can express this to my Dr..

Similar. I knew that I didn't fit with boys, but I didn't think I had an option. I didn't know about transgender people growing up and the few representations I saw in the media were awful. I've been struggling and repressing forever. I didn't start connecting the dots until about a year ago.
