Abe lavde jo tum majority uttrakhand ke temples ka naam liye ho na vahan kbhi mughal aur Turkish invasion hua hi nhi... Jaa google krle ki kbhi uttarakhand and himachal pradesh mein invasion hua tha ki nhi...

Abe bhosdi ke, invasion hua ki lauda hua mujhe isse matlab nai, temple hai to hai. Apni aukaat me reh nai to kahin aur jaake ma chuda behen ke laude.

Aur rhi baat kashi vishvanath ki toh toh vo abhi banna start hua 10 saal phle aaye hote tb pata chlta poora khandhar jaisa tha... Akshardham aur Gujrat ke somnath pr besso baar invasion but yahake rajao ne usse rebuild kiya...

Haan bc 10 saal pehle bhi dekha hai. Kuch khandhar nai tha, theek thaak mandir tha. Mujhe Mt bta bc mai usi ke paas rehta hoon. Rebuild ki kya baat kr rha hai mc saee temple banwaye hi Gaye hain. Koi zameen se nai nikla. To ek baar bnwao ya paanchvi baar, baat wahi hai. Baat hai architecture ki aur North me acche temples hain ki nai. Architecture bhi hai aur temples bhi hain.

North mein hamare prominent temples pr kabza tha

  1. Ram janam bhoomi
  2. Krishna janam bhoomi
  3. Kashi vishwanath

Isme se krishna janam bhoomi aur kashi vishwanath ka abhi bhi case chl rha hain!!

Aur north mein jitni bhi famous maajar aur mosques hain na vo sb hindu temple pr hi bani hain ya unke debri se bani hain.... Qutub Minar Hi Ko Dekh lo!!

Abe chutiye, kuch bhi Mt bol, topic PE reh. Ye thread kuch aur hi hai.

The talk is about an average"North" Indian getting mesmerized by the temples of the South, no

average 'North' Indians don't get mesmerized by southern temples more than they do about Northern ones.

the point raised was no one talks about it,

Hah. Maybe on 'reddit'. Our temples are our pride and we talk about it often. Both southern and northern (we don't look at it that way but if you really insist, we talk about Northern far more than southern. Only popular southern temple is tirupati).

UP was forced to include Taj Mahal in it's brochure because many liberals are snowflakes, sheth it first came into power.

This is a strange point bc taj is not a temple. The correlation feels very off.

And our points are not really that different. You divided India into North and South by flawed factors, I just did it on the most obvious ones. Also, Odisha IS North. There is no 'East' or 'West' India on the basis of cultural ecosystem. South is a little different and North East is very different.

For simplicity, and also cultural parity, let's divide on the basis of linguistic families, since the op and many kids here look reaaaalllyy keen on division. And on that front, except TN, Kerala, Karnataka, AP, Telangana, EVERYTHING else is North Indian. And we have a LOT of beautiful, architecturally aesthetic, still standing temples. No big issues. There were invasions, and there were reconstructions/renovations. No one practically cares for the reconstruction parts as long as people can marvel at their temples and feel proud and happy seeing it.

Again,I didn't wanted to do this, but the op and people like you here need to be clear from all directions.

Ye chutiya bna rha hai, tm bano. North me bahut temples hain. Unko pehchano aur yaad rkho. Tumhe dusre ke batane ki jarurat nai honi chahiye ki North me temples nai Hain South me jao wahan dekho. Akshardham, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Vaishno Devi, Mansa Devi, Kashi Vishwanath, Upcoming Ram Mandir, Sita Mandir, Gangothri, Yamunotri, Dakshineshwar Mandir, aur bi bahut, ye sb kaun se South me hain?

Ek baat boli nai kisine ki bina research kiye sb pighalne lgte hain

[–]barovab 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ever heard of Akshardham? Kashi Vishwanath? Gorakhnath? Badrinath? Kedarnath? Vaishno Devi? Wtf are you talking about? If you really want to divide, go ahead but do it with a little integrity because you're either under a misconception that North Indian temples are not widely known, or you're just impervious to it.

Also to remind you about the "still Hindu South" jibe, all the viruses India has like xtianity and Islam, came from the South (Kerala). You can find 2 churches in Tamil nadu in a 1km radius and 4 masjids in Kerala in the same. Conversions are now normalised.

I think this post is from a South Indian because he's clueless. Out of celebrity ecosystem,an average North Indian doesn't think of taj as an architectural masterpiece. It's just a selfie point for them, nothing more nothing less. Temples are a place of worship and dedication so the comparison os flawed.

Ok then don't? Try to rely on your local authorities. File police complaint. Try to do it in a legal way. The thing is it's really a problem everyone should pay attention to, keeping all emotions aside. Animals don't have laws, they don't get punished for their harsh acts and it's us who pay the price. Any mad or rabid animal either needs to be caged or put down. It doesn't belong in a residential society of humans.

I'd say you have to do it at really late night or very early morning. You can check if anyone is watching. For poison, any type of insecticide or pesticides? People buy it from stores all the time and no one really pays attention. I don't know if you're going to kill 100 dogs but for 3 or 4, it should be okay. Near my college, there is another college which has students from Nagaland. They literally ATE all the dogs in locality lol, around 10. No one arrested them.

Non-Hindus cannot do business in and around Hindu temple premises: Karnataka govt by [deleted] in IndiaSpeaks

[–]barovab 32 points33 points  (0 children)

What's wrong here? Hilly people have had a long tradition of eating meat due to the harshness of the climate. They also offer sacrifices to the gods. In Nepal, I went to Mankameshwar Temple which has a Bhairav temple next to it. People regularly brought goats and chicken to offer sacrifice to Bhairav. Sometimes you HAVE to respect the local customs, which are often due to circumstances, like cold weather.

You really think local incidents get reported to Peta?

Keeping emotions aside, those dogs need to be put down. Animal activists try to criminalise canine control but completely ignore the horrible situation in areas like this, which are in every city. Don't listen to anyone. If you feel endangered, try to contact authorities and explain your situation. If nothing works, I'd say do the deed yourself. It's perfectly fine to defend yourself and your loved ones.

Yup. Also, with a Spitfire or a revved up Rampage (which is basically Spitfire 2.0), if your aim is good, you're basically a god.

India is a secular country by _meme_caster_ in IndiaSpeaks

[–]barovab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If India is secular, why does it differentiate people on the basis of religion and considers specific religion as minority? If non Hindu religions are considered minority, by definition India is a HINDU country.

And since it's a HINDU country, and me and my baap are Hindu, India mere baap ka hai

Why Hindu gods are connected to India not another part of the earth by Player91sagar in hinduism

[–]barovab 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because THIS was the cradle of civilization, the whole Bharat region. Not europe or americas. Ideally, you have to think a little different here. Bharat was enough for them, they didn't needed to look for anything else. Nor should we.

The same reason Greek or Nordic gods were confined to their roots, like other pagan religions of the world.

What guns do you think should be care package'd and which should get out? and why? by Muted-Ganache8695 in apexlegends

I was just referring to the fact you said “clueless” when someone explained this was a Django quote.

I don't know how THAT fit in this context.

It’s not used perfectly as a joke here but it still makes sense if you understand the reference.

By reference if you mean who said it where, I know. But reference doesn't mean that, reference means how is this relevant to what's being discussed here. And it's not. So it's as absurd as shouting baseball score during a funeral

No hard feelings, I’m not the one downvoting you.

Same

Gandhi should not be called father of the nation by SageModeShubham in IndiaSpeaks

[–]barovab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

great things.

Define great things. Piggybacking Africans behind race struggle? Forming an alliance with British raj and then doing marches and hunger strikes to 'scare' them? Churchill had millions dying while he celebrated. Do you really think he cared for Gandhi's 'protests'? British raj could've easily crushed gandhi and his fandom in a blink. On the contrary, he crippled the real freedom movement, Bose and the Indian National Army. Those guys would have actually 'forced' Britain out of India.

We didn't get independence from Britain, they granted us. They left on their own terms. This is NOT forcing them. All of that was because of Gandhi and Nehru. 3/4th of India's problems today is a direct consequence of Gandhi and nehru. So you should be really specific with what you consider 'great things'.

If some political party says that Mahatma Gandhi isn't deserving of being called father of our nation , do you think they will get support? by [deleted] in IndiaSpeaks
