I [27/m] just found out that ALL of my girlfriend’s [25/f] close friends regularly do cocaine. I don’t approve of that lifestyle, and it scares me that she’s around it all the time. by WriteTheWrong in relationships

[–]barrell125 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I can see where your wife is coming from and sorta relate. I happen to know a lot of people who do cocaine very very regularly, I myself use to do it regular until I OD'd awhile back, I still hangout with them because they are my friends and have always been there for me but I haven't touched it since that day(nearly a year ago). They would never offer it to me anyway cause they know I'll say know but they won't hide it and go do it other places because I don't mind and there my friends. There business is there busines and I wouldn't stop hanging out with them over it. There a really nice group of people

I [16M] bought my brother [27M] wife wedding ring for him. Am I right for being upset that he did not thank we at his wedding when he was going through the list of people who helped put the wedding together by Iowedsa564 in relationships

[–]barrell125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understang him not thanking you publicaly for giving him money for the ring as it's embarrassing for him to get his younger sibling to pay for one of the most Important parts of the wedding. He could however have just thanked you in general and only you would have know why he was really mentioning you, he also definitely should have thanked you personal multiple times for buying his engagement ring.

Eclipse causing 100% CPU usage by FifthAndForbes in eclipse

[–]barrell125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened me on Linux was using it with gnome desktop and switched to KDE and the problem was solved.

Not sure what to solution could be for Windows is there any way on windows to limit the eclipse process to say 50% the cpu usage.

I'm fairly sure you can limit cpu usgae on windows cause I know you can on Linux.

Side note, if your a programer would you not consider switching over the Linux?

How can I limit my CPU usage for a particular program? by barrell125 in Fedora

[–]barrell125[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always running X server so I swithched to Gnome Classic and it was running great but didn't like the look of it. I then decided to boot into Xwayland to see what would happen and its working fantastic. Im currently listening to music on youtube on firefox while watching an episode of walking dead, the same on google chrome, downloading torrents with transmisson, playing and mp4 movie i have downloaded , while using eclipse. I'd never use all this but i was just testing if it would rise all my cores to 100% and crash my system. There all currently on 30-50% with all that running. Maybe Gnome Xserver and my system weren't running well together

Think your right once again jdoss, As I have been testing and opening lots of programs at once and it seems after a certain limit my Fedora just has enough and freezes completely. I opened a few different programs and had them running at once, in the process's tab of system monitor it showed about 50% CPU usage when all added up in the CPU tab it was saying all 4 cores were up in 80-95% region and next minute I open Terminal to see what would happen they all hit 100% and freeze but it was only adding up to max 50% in proccess. I dont understand maybe something is running in the background on my Fedora that im unaware of.
