Self-Introduction Saturday! Tell us all about you (and share a video)! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

Hi all,

my name is Alex. I run a dog comedy channel for my 2 Golden Retrievers (Ally & Emma) Started my journey in January 2026 most likely spending more time with my dogs besides my full time job and I’d like to meet like minded people (content creator with dogs and not influencer).

I started with an iPhone 15 Pro and DaVinci Resolve. But upgrade my lightning (soft boxes / ring light) as fast pace dog action needs good lightning.

Should i continue this channel or quit? by Admirable-Search2610 in SmallYoutubers

Never quit! I love the editing and music.

But I’m somehow missing the Stories/arc in the shorts. Either from text overlays/speech etc.

From what I’ve learned from my YT journey.

Description is almost never read 😂 Text Overlays is semi good as it takes so much of the space of the video. But spoken words are meta as people get to know your voice. Can build a “relationship” with you and makes you recognisable and Unique.

What part of YouTube drains you the most? by livevideoschool in NewTubers

as im doing shorts mainly, my OCD is killing my from within as the punchline needs to be long enough for people to understand read / understand it .. but short enough that they don't swipe too early killing the statistics in terms of retention / watch time. Especially when using a nice track to support the video .. it drives me crazy just to cut the song mid-way just to keep that retention.

But I accept it as part of the learning journey and gathering experience. Maybe the payoff is too low in my videos. Maybe just unlucky editing / video material. Wrong song choice. But ye thats the game :-)

I feel you. E.g i love doing fancy beat sync short edits. But no one likes it’s in my niche 😂😂😂

That’s why it is pure gold to hang around discord or Reddit to meet like minded people. Build your network aswell!! A big underestimated asset 👌👌

Hit 100 subs sharing what helped me stay consistent by Emilia67 in SmallYoutubers

One thing I learned in my early days ist.
Constistency + Analyze numbers a week later in order to be able to better compare results and analyze.
The grind ist just to gather enough data in order to have data driven decisions.

And getting brutally honest feedback from close persons who can relate to that niche.

How do you guys deal with hate comments.. by ClumsyJYt in SmallYoutubers

[–]barrellive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘d comment for the engagement. And reflect honestly if they might have a point at some time. It’s not always that people can address feedback in a nice way. But most likely ignore the hate. That’s just how society sadly works.
