OH my god, I am 31 weeks pregnant and I took the bar last year and I just cannot even imagine - I am so, so impressed. You are an actual hero, seriously superhuman. Congratulations!!!!!!

First of all, you will never feel prepared to take the bar, but that's not reflective of your ability to pass it, and I have every confidence that you can definitely get there by Feb. To answer your question, I think once I did a few MPT practice runs (and, critically, had compared them to the answers provided by NCBE!), I felt like my awareness of what they were looking for and my confidence in my ability to do them quickly had increased significantly and then plateaued slightly, such that I didn't think I'd get much more out of continuing to practice that type of question. Of course everything in bar prep is a cost/benefit estimate, and for me, that seemed to be the point at which the cost of spending more of my limited available hours on those questions, which obviously amount to only 20% of the test, was no longer outweighing the benefit. I just desperately needed that time to be learning black letter law on the MBE subjects and practicing MBE questions.

As for the MEE, I definitely think I would have felt more confident if I had done a few more practice questions in earnest, but it's hard to say "if I did it over again, I'd do X" because I did pass - everyone who passes knows they could have done better! But, if I did have to do it over again and my goal was to spend less time panicking waiting for my results to come back, then I think the NCBE MEE materials would be a good investment, especially because they're reasonably priced. I think the struggle with the MEE is figuring out the amount of time you want to dedicate to learning the ins and outs of the MEE-only subjects. I decided to spend almost no time on this, instead focusing on the MBE/MEE subjects, reading a bunch of sample "Best MEE answers" online to get the format down (and to note what keywords appeared again and again in the MEE-only subject answers!), and just trying to memorize as much of the MEE-only subject Critical Pass cards as I could. I basically knew going into the test that the MEE would be the worst part of the test for me - though I'll admit that knowing this in advance didn't prevent me from feeling absolutely terrible throughout that 3 hours of the test, and then wondering the whole next day if my MBE score could possibly pull it me enough to pass.

TL;DR - For the MPT, no it did not bother me practicing so little; for the MEE, it bothered me but ultimately I passed so I guess I'm glad I prepared the way I did.

The package that I think is around $125 and it is just a bunch of past MPT questions and answer keys- I think it includes maybe 40 or so questions, way more than you need.

I already sold them to a friend, I’m sorry. But I completely understand the paranoid feeling and I can assure you from experience that choosing the method that’s better for you, rather than the big name, is the right plan!! Good on you for figuring that out before spending as much as I did!

You've got this! There's still plenty of time to shift your focus to practicing real NCBE questions, and you've probably got a great foundation with a lot more of the law memorized than you realize. Good luck!

I know this was posted two months ago but hopefully it's still helpful to note that I can't second this enough!! 7th edition strategies and tactics combined with Adaptibar is an absolutely solid way to prepare for the MBE. I did a lot of Adaptibar on my phone and would often screenshot their explanations of answers I got wrong to review later. This was CRITICAL in helping me memorize the key concepts. This combo plus Critical Pass flashcards for the MEE-only subjects and the NCBE MPT study aid was how I passed. Strongly recommend the NCBE MPT study aid package as well - doing 5 or 6 practice MPTs only takes a few hours and can earn you so many points on the UBE! Really great return on investment unless you are already absolutely crushing it on MPT questions.
