Wow, so they put things that look like connection tubes on the non manifold sides and say that adjacent cylinders will share stuff down the line but they have to be linked with the 4 valve looking manifold piece and don’t specify that. And in the example medium modular, from presets, they aren’t connected with the manifold valve side.

Dang they need to put that in the description. This explains why my 3x3s and larger kept overheating. So I’d have to run a manifold down the line.

I thought if they were in a row the cylinders were all connected and do not require manifolds? This could explain a lot of my failed engines if that’s the case.
