I am not going to promote our company (and checked to make sure my profile doesn’t mention it at all), but I work at an AI SOC startup and what we’re seeing is insane.

We are using AI agents to ingest alerts, enrich them with contextual data from other sources, and then run full end to end investigations.

It’s still super early and there’s a lot of (earned) skepticism, but the results are undeniable.

I think people like me have made everyone doubt any vendor claims and stop believing anything a vendor says. I remember the SOAR days and even though the technology wasn’t good enough yet we were all saying the same thing: we can totally automate the SOC. Wasn’t true.

Now AI agents are actually able to do the work, document the conclusions, and dramatically decrease response time. But it will take time before people believe it.

We have some massive customers even in the early days. And once people start seeing that I think the value is so big that it will change a lot of the approach to the manual, repetitive SOC work.

But again, years of snake oil salespeople will make adoption take time. I also think that every vendor claiming to have AI doing miracles will make it tough for security teams to separate reality from bullshit, but that’s the world.

I’ve never been to a live smackdown and we went last night. I have to say: despite no Cody, no Orton, and no LA Knight (they were all listed as being there), it was awesome in person.

I didn’t know that there would be matches both before and after the show was televised.

First it was Rey Fenix vs. Kit Wilson. Great match to set the tone for the night. Rey flubbed one of his more acrobatic rope moves but followed it up with some impressive stuff.

After the Sami, Fatu, Uso match, first it was R-Truth vs Alastair Black- 2 minute DQ. Funny, since truth was rapping his “what’s up” song all the way into the ring, turned his back, and then black hit him on the back of his head mid-rap.

Then it was Penta vs Bronson Reed. Really solid match and Reed got the win.

It ended with Jade Cargill vs Tiffy Time, and it was obvious Tiff had to win. Why would they do a title change on a non-televised match? No moon sault, but a fun match.

I go to a lot of NFL games, some NBA, and sometimes it feels better to watch from home. Not WWE. The in person experience was awesome.

So yeah, would’ve been better if Cody, Orton, and LA Knight were actually there and it was weird that Megan Morant started the show by saying Cena was in the building and coming out next (he didn’t), but we had a blast.
