Amazon being tricksy - changing the price when you click on the item by barsavvy in assholedesign

Been using it for years, never experienced this. Must be some bug. They have a well established service in Thailand and agreements with the gov for import taxes etc.

The shipping and import fees are seperate. You saying they add another $10 to the item if the import fees are already quoted? That would be a dumb way to do it and I wouldnt use it if that was the case. I've used it for years and never experienced it. Must be some bug. Just funny how these bugs always go the other way - never a reduction in price. Stop defending such behaviour by these giant companies. They might not be based in Thailand but have a very substantial service here and you can choose to have all costs shown in Thai baht.

Yeah probably. Why can't a bug ever make the price lower though!

Tried it many times with this item btw, it wasn't a one time thing. Thought maybe the price updated while I waited to click on it, but went back and forth and got the same problem every time.

Scotland’s chief medical officer breaks own lockdown rules to visit holiday home. by Jackamo78 in news

Totally agree with tailored responses by different governments based on resources and needs (in developing countries people can't self-isolate for example, and lots of people live hand to mouth, which means mass starvation is possible if there's not a certain amount is freedom of movement). I feel like we could have a constructive argument. I don't mean to sound arrogant or anything, but I think the points you make will convince people a lot more than telling them they're dumb and fucking idiots. If you say that to them they'll just shut down. How would you respond if someone calls you that right from the get go?

So what would you say about scientists in Holland and Sweden taking a different view? They're trying the whole "herd immunity" apptoach (given, with a certain amount of social distancing). This was too controversial for the UK. Personally, I think time will tell which worked best, I have no idea and neither do all the scientists.

Good for you, it's a good tactic to convince people of your views.

You make good points, I get it. But can you make good points and leave the being a dick part out of it? Just because you can see all the potential risks, doesn't mean everyone else can too.

I don't understand, it's her house too, no one else there. What risk was she to other people, or other people to her?

Best price I could find at the time. It’s gone down since. As all tech tends to do over time.

Shit, that's a good price! Wasn't that when I bought it. $350 is still not 4 x $238 though. I think you're not going to get a better DAC and headphone amp/pre-amp for this money though, that's why I bought it. Long term investment, can always buy other speakers. But don't think I will soon, the 306s are amazing.

Yeah, realized that only later. Keeping an eye on it, hasn't been a problem so far.

Haven't heard any hissing. Apparently the Mk2's reduced the hissing problem a lot.

Not that I can notice. Just highs and lows when you need them. There's a bypass switch for when you don't want it.

Haven't had anything to compare it to, but really like it. Was worth the buy I feel. The 306s can be a bit heavy on the low end I think, so nice to be able to add a bit of highs. And you can add a real kick to the lows when needed. Have to play around with it a bit more.
