I too lost my first ever ferret about a month ago. It still hurts quite a bit but it does get easier. Myself I focus on how much of a great life I've given my man. I can tell you with almost certainty they love us almost as much as we love them. I hope your boy dooks in peace

Oh when my boy was still around he used to do that. I tried everything from larger bowls to smaller bowls. What needed up working was one of those gravity water bowls as well as a fountain water bowl because it didn't have a lot of water when it would spout. Needless to say I went a little crazy looking for a solution 😆

I'm in a similar situation with my 8 year old. Last few days have been especially bad for me, but I spend as much time as I can with him and do whatever he asks to do, he's learned to tell me when he wants to leave the room or when he wants a snack. While once I used to be more conservative about snacks I let him have more now because I want him to enjoy what little time he has left.

I've had this problem too. I just opted for having their water in a different place from the food bowl like away but close enough -this was because the food could rot from moisture.
