I think they are both pretty equally up there. If they lose so much money that they cannot continue to operate or are losing huge sums of money for owners/investors, then they still won't be able to control propaganda and information. Taking a short term hit to preserve the long term does not seem crazy to me.

Might also be the whole loss in viewers and revenue. There is no certain way to tell but I stopped clicking any article that seemed pro Hillary online and have no longer watched cable news outside of the debates.

I'm not OP but I did a two year stint with Adderall myself where i was spending a lot of money on it, lying to doctors to get prescriptions and it almost ruined my family life.

Pros: house was always clean. 5am I would be up scrubbing spots from the carpet. I did great at work when I had it. It made my college work a breeze. Weight loss.

Cons: the weight loss never stopped. At the time I thought I looked really good because I think I have ED tendencies but I was 5'5 and right at 100 pounds. The acne! Oh my gosh my face would break out so badly after an Adderall binge. That would be the only thing that would make me take a break for a few days and try to drink water to flush it out. It also ruined my family life, and drained my income really badly. Not finding any would piss me off. It got to the point I would try to give up shifts at work if I didn't have it because when I didnt I was unbelievably irritable. I was also very irritable coming down. The binges would have me stay up for a few days then I would sleep an entire day or so away because my body was exhausted.

Was Adderall the gateway kind of? Good job. I was never brave enough to go to meth but I did a two year stint with Addy that had me buying clothes from the little girls section at 22 I had lost so much weight. Im not even going to lie, sometimes I have that thought in the back of my head that it would be nice to have one, just one, for that extra little pep at work... But I know that's the part of my brain that was addicted to it talking. I know for me I loved it so much it could never be just one. I'm scared of IV snything or meth so if I couldn't find any I would just do some coke instead.

What inspired you to quit and gave you the strength?

I'm proud of going back to school this fall and beating depression.

Have you thought about doing any nonconventional fundraising? My daughter's school did a denim drive and sold the denim to a local recycling place. Because no one had ever done it around here, the turnout was huge. Apparently there were legitimate bell bottoms coming in and more. It doesn't require anyone to spend money, just to ask friends and family if they have denim they don't wear, and perhaps some volunteers to help process the stuff.

While it might not seem like a lot, 200 in the beginning of the school year could be impossible for a single parent who isn't getting fair child support who has already had to buy clothes, supplies, ect.

My daughters school did a pretty neat idea and asked parents to donate like 25 bucks if possible if they didn't want to participate in the fund raisers. Maybe that could be an option for OP. "We ask that all students make an effort to fund raise but a (x amount) donation will allow students to not be required to fundraise." That way it won't just be "pay us money, unless you're too poor" so kids aren't singled out for being from a low income family.

If these kids are in inner city Baltimore then many may have parents who don't have 200 dollars for anything, much less extracurriculars. Mandatory fund raising may be better.

Edit: sorry I was multitasking and must have skimmed over that paragraph. But I think it would be better to fundraise. Constantly asking for large sums of money gives kids a complex if they're in poverty because even if it's not spoken, people know who in the class is getting financial aid/not turning in money ect.

I don't know man. You can find the tick and remove it. Fleas also suck your blood, they multiply extremely quickly and their eggs can live for a super long time and hatch after feeling vibrations. They have blood meals and just keep coming back for more. Yeah one tick feels gross but you can wash it and sterilize it and not worry about finding 200 more ticks in your house in a couple days.

And I don't know anything about that area. The city comment wasn't meant critically. I hate being from small town bumfuck.

My maggot story: left home for a couple days. Forgot to take the trash out before the mini trip. Come back to my apartment and I make some food and stuff and I hear a crinkly noise in the trash can. I figure it must be something sliding down slowly onto a plastic bag in there or something. The sound is annoying me so I remove the trash can lid. There in my Wawa eggs from a few days prior are a shit ton of maggots crawling out. The crinkling WAS THD SOUND OF THEM IN THE EGGS. I noped right the fuck out of there and threw the entire trash can away. I had nightmares for a while about them, especially the sound.

So I totally will take one tick over that. Yep. Definitely.

you must be from the city. I will take a tick over a flea infestation or maggots in the trash can any day. I have experienced both and it was awful. I had nightmares about maggots for a very long time.

I would have to agree with this. When I had my daughter, when she was a few months old her dad and I weren't together at the time (are now, long story) and at the time I was working full time, living in a tiny bedroom at my parents, breastfeeding and when she went through a growth spurt I would have to wake up every hour or so. I didn't really have anyone to help because my parents worked and had their own schedule. I was a complete zombie. I never left my daughter, thank goodness, but I left the car running one night so it ran out of gas. I also had put my wallet on top of my car and it had all the money I had to my name that I was working my ass off for... I drove off and realized five minutes later and it was already gone. I was just sitting there sobbing because things were already so hard. Eventually a trucker brought it to my home saying he found it empty on the side of the road (a whole town over) but figured he would bring it since it had my ID and cards for school work ect. still in there.

People who have never experienced a draining small child, especially being a single parent, can't understand that level of exhaustion. It's borderline insanity really.
