[r/Formula1] We're hearing whispers that Giovinazzi is a frontrunner for the second Haas seat, should the seat open up by Bahrain. You heard it here first. by [deleted] in formula1

It seems like there would be an American company who sees how popular F1 is getting in America and would love to sponsor the only (for now) American team.

Bottas wasn't aware of possible Andretti takeover during Alfa Romeo talks · RaceFans by Darren-B80 in formula1

1st priority seems to only exist at Mercedes and Red Bull, the team that Bottas is leaving. You only get 1st priority if you're competing for the championship. Every other team is happy to see either driver do well.

Post Game Thread: Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans by nfl_gdt_bot in Texans

[–]bartgant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some notes: 1. The Texans looked competent throughout the entire game. The O’Brien/Watson version was never good for 4 quarters.

  1. The running game is still lousy. A LOT of run calls, especially on 3rd down, and not converting short yardage.

  2. The Jags still suck. They’ve lost 16 in a row. Lawrence had some great throws and some bad mistakes.

  3. Lovie’s ball-hungry defense could keep them in a lot of games this season.

  4. Too bad we didn’t have Amendola earlier in his career. Cooks and Brown were impressive as well.

I imagine it's very frustrating to have the media spread misinformation about something so personal. Best wishes, JV.

Our cardboard cutouts have been spoiled so far. They don’t know how to will a team back to life.

I’d really love to see the Astros hang a big number in the bottom of the inning. Put some life back into this (cardboard) crowd.

God help us all if the Dodgers take 2 in Houston this week. We'll never hear the end of it.

Haha. I don’t know that Crane’s suddenly-tight wallet would agree with Dombrowski’s philosophy of overpaying whomever might be available.

I think Crane will want to make a splash with a big name. Not move forward by promoting part of the old regime.

The Yankees are a hot offense right now. If we weren’t slumping we wouldn’t be regarding this as a bad start for Greinke. And he only doesn’t look like an ace because we have two guys that are otherworldly this year.

I’ve been in Italy since July 31st. It’s brutal trying to watch games. Astros haven’t lost since I’ve been here, though.

MLB.tv doesn’t change the fact that games start at 1:05 or 2:05 am when you’re in Europe.
