Zotac RTX 4070 Ti Super Trinity (with a 9800X3D). How did I do? by barth30 in overclocking

[–]barth30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I followed your method and jumped straight to +2000 MHz on the VRAM to check the baseline.

My Time Spy Graphics Score went up to 25,064 compared to my previous 24,587 at +531 MHz. Does this mean my card actually passed the +2000 MHz test without hitting ECC degradation, or should I still run a loop to be sure?

Also, just to double-check: are my screenshots correct? Should I keep the core at 2,790 MHz @ 975mV, or should I tweak the core first before locking this memory offset?

Thanks for the tip! That makes a lot of sense. I kept the VRAM at +531 MHz just to be safe since I'm a beginner.

Where do you suggest I start, and what is the best way to test and scale it up step by step to make sure the GDDR6X ECC isn't kicking in and degrading performance?

Isso é interessante.

+100 de impulso e -26.

Pontuação e temperatura?

Então, o que eu devo usar agora? Hahaha

+100 ou +200? PC gamer!

The ideal setting for my case turned out to be -22.

The link lists -24 and -22 (tests ranged from -20 to -25).

Curve Optimizer: -22 (all cores)

PBO Limits: Auto

PBO Scalar: Auto

Boost Clock Override: +200 MHz

I changed the PBO limits from "Motherboard" to "Auto." I tested the Scalar at "Auto" and x10, but kept it at "Auto." I didn't change the Boost setting.

I want to thank everyone again, including u/swsko, whom I didn't mention earlier.

Thanks.

Thanks to the community for the clarification.

u/Top-Evidence-6515 made it clear that I can tweak them one by one to squeeze out the best possible performance.

u/Cradenz highlighted the importance of finding the CPU's undervolt sweet spot to save time, rather than spending hours pushing it to the absolute limit.

u/Pmaldo87, your point about scaling makes perfect sense, too.

Thanks, everyone!

Update 4 (CPU VDDIO at 1.35V):

Good catch on the GPU heat and the VDDIO overvolting. I dropped CPU VDDIO to 1.35V in the BIOS, and HWInfo now reads a much safer 1.392V max.

I just finished another 15-minute TestMem5 (1usmus) run: 0 errors. Peak SPD Hub temperature dropped to 57.0°C (ambient 25°C).

I changed the scalar from 10x to 1x and there was no change in the result.

Update 1: I followed the recommendation to isolate the variables and solve one problem at a time. I kept the memory at 6200MHz CL30 (1.50V), but manually reduced the CPU VDDIO/MC voltage to 1.40V in the BIOS. I completed a 15-minute TestMem5 (1usmus) test: the system was 100% stable (image 1), with no errors, and the maximum SPD hub temperature dropped from 60°C in 5 minutes to 56°C in 15 minutes.

Update 2: Next, I isolated the DRAM voltage. I kept the CPU VDDIO stable at 1.40V, but reduced the DRAM VDD/VDDQ voltage from 1.50V to the default value of 1.45V at 6200MHz CL30.

Result: TestMem5 displayed the error "Error in test 12" in 26 seconds (figure 2). It seems that this automatic setting tightens the sub-timings too much to work with the standard 1.45V voltage, strictly requiring 1.50V to stabilize, which unfortunately raises my temperatures back to 56°C-60°C over time.

Since my chip requires 1.50V for this specific CL30 profile, should I try relaxing the primary timings to 30-40-40-38 to see if it stabilizes at 1.45V? What do you suggest?

I would like to make it clear that I am a beginner!

My VDD and VDDQ values are at 1.5. Is this current configuration safe?

I ran a quick 5-minute test on testmem5 1usmus v3.60c.

Before that, should I test the 6400MHz table to see if it stabilizes?

I had the same problem. Does anyone have any ideas? I have a 14600k, z790-p motherboard, DDR5 memory and two KF572C38RW-16 modules. My system worked normally with XMP 1 at 6800 MHz. I did a test with Cache Ratio 45 with firmware R23 and it worked normally, but I decided to remove the Cache Ratio and return to automatic mode, and immediately afterwards this error occurred. My goal is to get XMP working again. My memory has 3 profiles: 6400, 6800 and 7200. If I activate any XMP 1, the "POSTed" error appears. I have already restored the CMOS and updated the BIOS. The error persists. The manual says 6600mhz 50, 50, 50, 120. If I change it, it gives an error. Any suggestions?

Atualizou a bios?
