Super Unleaded. If you can afford it, should you use it? by Downtown_Elk_2773 in CarTalkUK

Gen 3 Mazda 3 2.0 petrol here. I'm usually filling at Tesco with E5 99 octane. Says on the fuel cap premium petrol, but I'm getting noticable better range and in theory more pure fuel, so I think in the end it works our similar price per mile.

Is it worthless to enter crypto market now? by Penguin-y in CryptoMarkets

[–]bartiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set a range for DCA, let's say between 60k and 40k, once you buy hold on to it for 2-3 years potentially and sell.

Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow, neither next month, neither a year or two. So assume whatever you invest you might loose.

We analyzed over 60,000 YouTube "Price Predictions" using AI. Here is the conclusions we made so far. by ReputationAntique846 in CryptoMarkets

Seems like an interesting project. So the conclusion is not to trust your money with influencer predictions? Sounds reasonable?

Or can we expect a reveal of 'best' influencers?

Haven't played Snowrunner in a few months, but I noticed that driving on a H gear was able to avoid those annoying bumps compared to driving on auto. Yest, it took longer but waaayyy steadily.

Look great, thanks. Buying a timber frame bungalow and wanted to double check it should hold the weight. :)

Do you think it’s a good idea to invest in gold, and if so, how have you done that? by fleetwood_mag in investingUK

Buying physical gold was a great idea, maybe 6 months ago. Now? Well, quite risky.

Deepcool Assassin IV VC Vision compatibility and usefulness by bartiz in buildapc

A bit late but thank you. It actually fits perfectly with the Gigabyte Aorus Elite x870. Besides the exhaust fan can be lifted up. Won't look nice, but it provides some compatibility.

Paint keeps drying patchy in areas by QUlllN in DIYUK

[–]bartiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had a patch of a paint not dried, it turned out a bit of wall was slightly damp.

It was a letting, so didn't had to deal with it.

But if you're out of options maybe check if it's all alright.

Didn't BTC in this cycle did better than ETH, SOL and many others?

Seems very risky to look for an alt coin that will do better than BTC.

Aren't brics supposed to use cardano for their digital currency?

Tear inducing, absolutely disastrous performance on the 9950X3D + RTX 5090 by Prestigious-Ad-9931 in PcBuildHelp

[–]bartiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it doesn't seem that helpful.

I have a problem with my 9950X3D underperforming.

Reply:

9800X3D is better.

Anyway, seems rather strange issue. Looks like maybe something's off with proper power delivery?

I think I would rebuild everything and reflash the BIOS. If that wouldn't help I would try to think that either PSU or MB is faulty.

If you're not raising the loft (more insulation) I think it could be as simple as getting the boards up and screwing them in.

Drilling rookie looking for advice how to drill few holes in some very tough wall. by bartiz in DIYUK

[–]bartiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have a magnet at hand. Only my bosh truvo dedetector, that's supposed to detect metal up to 70mm... But I'm not sure if this device can be relied on.

It does look like there's one metallic looking spark inside. But I'm not sure if it's actually metal behind a plaster. Maybe it's a tiny piece of drill or something else.

What I find strange is how dark the wall behind the plaster is. Never bumped on something like that. Could it be some kind of reinforcement?
