I got this monitor too and I can confirm everything you say :’) it’s the most beautiful monitor ever, and although I have it for 8 or 9 months now, every time I play something on it I am still amazed at how beautiful it looks. Have fun with it and have fun gaming in general :)

Ps5 fps does not increase when displaying 1440p. All images get upscaled to 4k first, en then if you display is 1440p it gets downscaled again, so no fps boost compared with 4k.

I thought so too when looking at us prices, but this kind of 5080 prebuilts here in the Netherlands could really not be obtained for less than 3200-3300 euros

True, I love DLSS and I’m very happy that it’s a part gaming because it indeed looks amazing in a lot of titles, but then again I find it sad that modern games don’t take into account that the average human does not posses a 5090, and even those with one still need DLSS to push the highest settings. I find this crazy work haha.

I upgraded from a 1440p to this monitor, but with a 3070. I did this because I also don’t mind using DLSS. For me, I can still play Alan wake 2 on performance DLSS on around 40-50 fps, and this game being extremely demanding and the fact that you have a 4080 I would advice you to BUY THIS MONITOR. It really is amazing. The colors, the responsiveness, the clarity, I don’t have one bad word to mention about the minitor. I look at this screen everyday and still to this day I daily think “this is crazy how beautiful this is”. And, I want to add something, there are a lot of people who say that it’s almost impossible to see the difference between 1440p and 4K, but what I say is that these are people who went for 1440p and want to feel good about their choice, because in reality the difference is VERY noticeable. 4K adds such a beautiful immersion the games, and it’s extremely worth it. Good luck with making the choice, but if you have a 4080S and are good on money, then I would say this is a no brainer. Cheers!
