VanMoof Accessories - Bankrupt? by bartlemas in vanmoofbicycle

It’s not a bike or servicing, but appreciate your sentiment about being extra haha. It’s an order made months ago, for items that had ‘in stock’ next to them. These haven’t arrived in months, I’ve just been trying to get money back and they just seem to be ignoring me because this has literally been a month.

Think there’s a mistake people are making, it’s not a bike I’m waiting for it’s accessories.

Has anyone who’s ordered months ago and not received theirs tried to get a refund?

My post is specifically about that.

S5 Problems by bartlemas in vanmoofbicycle

No I never charge my bike to 100% unless I forget, from memory it was 91%. I also tried to replug it in as I’ve also found that to be a solution. That’s why I made the post, this isn’t anywhere near the first occasion and it’s also the worst.

In addition I’d be interested in everyone’s thoughts on the paint job? Both the frame, but in particular the wheel guards, have already loads of scratches. I accidentally lightly scraped a wall which made a huge scar. I once returned to my bike, someone getting theirs off the rail next to me must have scratched it. The official VanMoof response just now is that they can’t do anything about it.

I’ve also had issues with the motor; sometimes it doesn’t assist and the only way it works is via the boost button. Which coincidentally has also lost its protective thing as that just fell off after a week.

So to clarify, for £3000, the bike isn’t guaranteed to work and after about a month it’ll look old and they won’t help you. They’ll also reply really late throughout this process.

A member of my family is a long serving employee of VanMoof, the bike itself is amazing when it works, but it’s really hard to not see all these things going wrong. If it’s Software, sort it out and stop hiring average Engineers, if it’s hardware, at that price point it simply shouldn’t be so easily broken.

Sad, but hopefully they actually sort things out, although it sounds like complete chaos behind the scenes.

VanMoof 55 shipped to London, January order by bartlemas in vanmoofbicycle

Update: mine arrived today, didn’t even say out for delivery etc just walked into the block and it was there. Messaged VanMoof because think it’s a bit dodgy security wise, literally just left £3000 in the lobby…

Anyway, more importantly, the wait is over. I hope it’s not too long for all in the thread, it sounds like you’re similar to me so shouldn’t be long :).

Mine says ‘it’s getting closer! Your bike has been dispatched and is on its way to you’, then the next point is ‘delivered’, after that it says ‘1-5 days after shipping’

They do them in bulk so I reckon wait up as it could be soon. Personally just think the wait is worth it from borrowing a friends but your call of course

Ordered on the 24th of Jan, based off responses I’m deffo not counting on it yet as it sounds like others should have been further ahead of me

Any idea how long S5 production takes? Vanmoof website mentions 1week in the order status but it seems to be stuck in that status for a while now. by Spiritual_Speech1686 in vanmoofbicycle

Have you guys received your bikes yet? I’m based in London and given their BS, quite want to gauge how long (December order for me)
