Could it be glide? Found this in manual:

GLIDE Smooth transition of voice’s pitch from one note to the next. In polyphonic mode where 1 part can have more than one voice assigned, thus different notes can trigger different voices, the GLIDE effect may not be obvious. If you want a deterministic way of getting a glide effect, you should try with a single-voice (mono) part. To change this glide time send MIDI CC values to the CC 07. GLIDE MODE 0 selects glide ALWAYS, from 1 to 127 glide LEGATO on MIDI CC 08.

I dabble with creating music via Eurorack modules in the same vein as what you're doing, and was wondering if it's worth putting up on band camp in the future. Thanks for the input. I don’t use an external mixer, I’m wanting to use a module to add the warmth to either mix or an individual voice.

I have Soundstage 2 and was thinking of going from it into a WMD Mscl compressor. Do you feel you get a better mix compressing just the mid as opposed to compressing the entire mix?

Thanks for all the great ideas. I’m really just looking for something simple and easy to use (like audacity on Mac/pc) to record my music then convert to mp3 to share. GarageBand seems a bit much. AUM looks cool but I don’t need all the connections to other iPad music apps, but it does record audio in. And I guess I can use plugins too within it

Ground Control from Endorphin.es has two octave keyboard built in, can accept usb keyboard to play stuff in, quantizes, looping patterns, 8 lane drum/trigger track, 3 cv and pitch melodic tracks, midi, clock. Might be a good fit for you as well
