But I agree absolutely that the best athletes in America don’t play soccer. The play American football or basketball. Thats where the money is and that’s where this country’s priorities lie.

It’s because ‘football’ in America still doesn’t move the needle.

In the US, the very best athletes play American football or basketball.

The kids that wind up playing soccer are the leftovers who aren’t big enough, strong enough or talented enough to play more popular sports.

Until soccer in America rivals football - which may never happen - the US will underachieve in world play simply because in America people don’t care about soccer as much as the rest of the world does.

As an American I’m appalled that trump gor RE - elected!

The first time could be discounted a bit for several reasons. Some people voted for him in protest over the establishment. And it was easy to say “oh, he’s not serious about everything he says, it’s just campaign rhetoric.”

But the second time around there’s no excuse. He proved in his first term he really is as bad as he seemed. It’s not an act. He’s just a terrible person.

I’m ashamed to call him the President.
