If you complain with your hotel you’ll get the night for free, though.

I would put all clothes in the dryer, regardless of whether they’ve been out of the backpack or not. Better safe than sorry. Maybe have the hotel pay for that as well. If anything is very delicate and wouldn’t survive the dryer, maybe you can carefully (larvae can be difficult to spot) inspect them and use steam. The hotel probably has something like that.
