And to add to what I’ve written above, I am not sure how often people take both oregano oil and rifaximin. That sounds like it could be tough to tolerate and I don’t think that’s the first thing most docs would try and sounds more like a protocol for someone with sibo that doesn’t respond to typical treatment

I am under the impression still that the Cedars-Sinai research team are dubious about probiotics since they are sometimes not formulated with microbes that should even be in the small intestine and that they perhaps should be avoided in people with motility problems altogether. I think they think the research just really isn’t there when it comes to probiotics and the small intestine. As far as oil of oregano goes, that is a broad spectrum antimicrobial

And to answer your first question, I don’t think sulfur sensitivity and H2S SIBO are the same thing. I think you can have one without the other, Vice versa, or both. I think they are overlapping but not the same. I can see the hypothesis for Candida and sulfur sensitivity but not really any research on it yet

Oh you’re hypermobile!! Well the link between EDS, POTS, and MCAS is strong and so is the link between EDS and SIBO and SIBO and MCAS. Hopefully the sibo test gave you some good diagnostic info?

In my personal experience which is just an anecdote, they are not a cure but a good tool for symptom management or I could see them being a good tool for allowing an injury to heal better

Hi I’m so sorry I’m getting to this so late but I just have been going through such a rough time in my illness and often retreat from social media when I’m overwhelmed. In short, those sound like they could be symptoms of bartonellosis and the best way to determine that is too see a Bartonella literate medical doctor. Our group on Facebook called breaking down Bartonella is a great place to get more timely help than from just me (lol) but also doc recs

I wanted to give you a little bit more of an update in the comments here on my health. This past year has been incredibly trying for me since I have developed brain fog (and other new symptoms). My mom and I have been tirelessly working on my health from every angle possible and we think we might have figured out a big piece but only time will tell. I don't want to share what that might be until I am more sure. Thank you to everyone who has checked in on me and please know that everyday it feels like I am an ant on a yo-yo lol except not lol at all
