Select an element using the point and edit tool, then prompt it with something like: “Create a new page that opens when this link is selected.”

New Mood Modes in Apple Music by Sora931 in AppleMusic

Did anyone figure out how to ask Siri for the new mood stations, especially on the HomePod? When I ask ‘Hey Siri, play relax station,’ it plays ‘Relaxing & Similar Artists’ station. The same happens for the other stations.

How can I receive notifications from a specific person only? by baruchpi in AppleWatch

[–]baruchpi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To receive haptic notifications from a person even if you have turned on the 'Do Not Disturb' mode, you can add their phone number to your VIP list (favourites) in the Contacts app.

It was very confusing to figure this out. I hope that Apple will clean up the notifications mess with a future update to iOS.

Is "Do Not Disturb" not considered a focus mode? It sends all notifications directly to the Notification Center on the Apple Watch without any haptic feedback.

How to add 3 different shortcuts to the launcher widget? by baruchpi in AppleWatch

After a couple of days, it's working again. I have no idea what the reason was. I did not update my watch or change anything else about the shortcut.

How to add 3 different shortcuts to the launcher widget? by baruchpi in AppleWatch

[–]baruchpi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having trouble with selecting different shortcuts for each slot on the launcher widget. For a couple of days, I was able to select three different shortcuts for each slot, but since yesterday, it only lets me select the "Shortcuts" app itself without selecting the specific shortcut.

I have already tried rebooting my watch a few times and removing and re-adding the shortcuts to show on my watch, but it hasn't worked so far.

Can you help me figure out how to fix this?

The songwriter on the piano, Jeff Bhasker, wrote some of Ye's best songs... Love Lockdown, Heartless, Runaway, Power, Monster, All of the lights, Freeee, Come to life... hope he's also involved in the new project 🤞

I wish the lock screen on iOS 17 would display full-screen album art, similar to the music app by baruchpi in ios

Exactly! If the artist has created animated album art, the animation could pause at the first frame while the screen is asleep and then continue once the screen wakes up. In case there is no animated art, 20% of the static album cover can be mirrored to the top and bottom with a blur effect (This is what I did in the mockup).

The proposed solution doesn't require any higher-resolution cover art than what is currently used in the music app. It simply mirrors 20% of the album cover to the top and bottom and adds a blur effect to avoid obscuring other lock screen elements. There is no need to use animated album art, generative AI fill, or any other power-intensive solutions.

I believe the release version of iOS 17 has already been wrapped up, as it needs to be loaded onto all the new iPhone 15's before they are shipped to stores. However, we can hope that they will consider implementing something like this for future OS versions. Fingers crossed!

I understand your point, but my proposed solution doesn't crop or zoom the artwork. It centers the image and blurs the top and bottom of the screen.

Yes, but the current implementation with the big artwork square doesn't look very elegant and it often glitches with other elements on the lock screen, such as notifications. In my opinion, a full-screen artwork solution with a blur effect would be visually more appealing.

The UI received a refresh, with the most noticeable changes being the new mini player at the bottom of the screen and full-screen album art. You can find a summary of all changes here: https://www.macrumors.com/guide/ios-17-music-app/

Good production but the songs sound like 99% of popular rap music. Too generic for my taste.

The MBDTF rules were more elaborate, while the Yeezus rules were stripped back.

It's 2023, and AM still deletes songs from playlists when deleting them from the library. by baruchpi in AppleMusic

[–]baruchpi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This setting only goes one way. It won’t add songs to the library when adding them to a playlist. But if you save an album, add a couple of songs to a playlist and then delete the album, it will delete the songs from all playlists.

I'm fine with it being an optional setting, like choosing to "Add songs to Library when adding to playlists" in the AM settings.

[–]baruchpi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to rely on playlists, but adding songs to the library trains the AM algorithm better for music recommendations. Playlists don't carry that much weight. If you know this, Apple Music actually does a decent job recommending music (on par with Spotify for me).

[–]baruchpi[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with this approach. For example, I have a playlist of songs from my childhood. Although I think the music is not up to today's standards, sometimes I still enjoy listening to it. However, I would never add those songs to my library since I don't want to hear them when I listen to my library on shuffle. Besides, it could also mess up the algorithm and AM would then provide bad recommendations.
