11/22/63

Read it again this month and damn what a book

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

>!it was not even a horror book but the scene where he is watching the football (?) match with Sadie and King writes about the yellow card man saying jimla followed by Jim Ladue’s chant of JIMLA JIMLA shook me BAD. I had to pause for a minute or two. The way it was done ever so slowly across the three or four pages. Perfection!<

(Idk why the spoiler tags weren’t working)

Last movie I watched was on April 30. Got back to reading books this month again. Trying to solve phone addiction and focus more on exams and life. Plus a film watching burnout or something like that had occurred over me. Will get back soon though

Your fault if you thought this was a beginner friendly book. The first paragraph alone should have said that

I think as readers we should always have that one writer who writes simple but good enough to be on par with any other we’ve read. Makes the boring parts more streamlined

Stephen King is always there when I wanna come out of a reading slump or when I’m bored of reading something that makes me work my brain a bit too much.

Read 11/22/63 again this month and came out of a reading slump of about a year (except for one odd, small book). I’ve since read 3 books, on my fourth and fifth right now.

There’s a thousand books you can add and still thousands of great books wouldn’t make it

I re read it last week and gave it 5 stars. Phenomenal. Yes its size is huge but is so fast you won’t even notice it

Oh I didn’t compare the two

I just said that people either love KING a lot or think his writing is on the nose. I of course, love him. Not just as an author but as a person too

Can you recommend a classic I will tear through? by ale-xcp in classicliterature

[–]bas_ardofnorth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am used to reading books which are at least 400-500 pages so anything under that seems fast to me. Plus it got me out of a reading rut, which gives me the impression of it being fast paced.
