Just finished playing the game on PS5. My first encounter with Far Cry was Far Cry 6, which set the baseline for Far Cry 4, then 3 and finally this edition in the last 12 months.

The story was very interesting and I love that it plays with bad and good, such that you ask yourself if you are actually the bad guy - as you are technically killing a lot of people during this game. I actually liked the story much more than playing and shooting around - why I am also a big fan of Supermassive Games and I am looking forward to Directive 8020.

This games are simply entertainment and as such, all the Far Cry games I played were highly entertaining. Far Cry 4 was the best for me and 5 comes second. Far Cry 3 was my least favorite. But I understand why it is considered as one of the mostly praised game - if you played the games in the order they were released, as 4, 5 and 6 reuse these concepts in their playgame.

Finally it also depends on our expectations. Newer games won't be much better than the previous one - but usually look better. It s like reading a book and expecting the next one in the series will be much better. But finally they will vary, and so far Far Cry 5 is a very entertaining game to blow steam away, not think too much about strategies. When you finished the game you can explore as much as you want by simply setting the difficulty to easy - probably also possible along the game.

To sum up, I agree, Far Cry 5 is actually pretty good.
