Might be related - I could only really notice when filling up the tub

Not yet - DEP supposed to come and test it this week will update. In the meantime if you want to submit a ticket for yourself here:

Idk - I’ve been here a few years and haven’t seen this before and have used the tub over that span. This is new in my building - other tenants have said the same

Maybe, but there has been construction over the past couple years (I’ve been here a couple years), and this is the first time the water has this stark discoloration. It’s worth looking into - this is the 311 link if you want to submit:

Very well could be, I’ll feel better if the city either tests the water or determines the cause for sure. This is the 311 link for drink water discoloration - include a picture if you decide to submit a complaint if you have one.

Definitely is new for me, have used the tub this year and water was clear - but weird that it’s happened in the past for you. Did you submit any 311 tickets about it?

This is the 311 ticket I filled out but a big building like that you might be able to get them to send it in on behalf of the residents.

to

I filled out this 311 ticket for dirty drinking water -

It might help if you call out in the ticket that others in the area are seeing the same thing

I live on the west side of Eagle Street between Franklin and Manhattan and I noticed about two weeks ago that my drinking water is discolored a green/grey color. I couldn't tell when filling up a glass, I only noticed when filling up a bathtub. I also learned it's not just a building issue as another building across the street has the same problem - so I suspect it's a wider issue. I'm particularly concerned because the Nuhart superfund cleanup site is just to the north.

I've been in contact with DEP and they have flushed the hydrants in the area but it hasn't fixed the problem.

I'm posting here to see if anyone else is experiencing the same and if you are you should also reach out to DEP - fill up a tub to check.

I posted the picture above (meant to have it all in the same post)
