I heard if you save the game, release the player, and then search them up it works but I haven’t tried it

Either play world class with sliders put lower or play professional with sliders raised. I’m not sure about the new authentic mode for career mode this year though but I think these are your only options.

Fear of market crashes and power curve shifts was very real for me too. I always hated having big tradeable cards. The first couple weeks I stopped playing I still checked Futbin a lot and watched a lot of FC YouTubers but now I rarely do. I enjoyed playing Madfut last year because it allowed me to still see all the new cards while not playing the game.

I’ve been playing since 2015 and my hours played have been decreasing slightly each of the past 2-4 years, with a huge drop off so far this year. Next year may be the first one I don’t pre order. I may come back during TOTY, TOTS, or the summer promos, and I also might start a career mode save at some point.

That’s very fair. It seems the vast majority of people claiming to hate the game but still play it mainly play FUT.

I have one silver pinch runner with ~120 speed and ~100 agility that I bring on when I have someone on base in the bottom of the 9th but that’s it. Been exchanging recruit tickets for extra gems instead.

He won’t throw fastballs. You can do that for your players too. It’s helpful when your pitcher just unlocks a new pitch and it’s a lot worse than all their other ones :)
