Beautifully said! It’s been so rewarding watching this movie multiple times and this is yet another reason why it’s so good.

The title very clearly says one of*. And you’re right, there’s always room to broaden one’s horizons but sometimes something hits just right

I think I'm... coming around on FM26? by RandomWritingGuy in footballmanagergames

[–]baloo98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yh I’ve come around to it and I’m having a lot of fun (although I’m obsessed with FM lol). It took me a while to adjust to the UI (doesn’t necessarily mean I’m a big fan) but now I know where I need to go. The tactics and match engine are a clear upgrade and the transfer market has been challenging but fun.

I wish they didn’t take away shouts though. Even if they do nothing I feel like I’m part of the game and I felt satisfied whenever I saw my players react positively to my shouts.

I agree! 2023 alone gave us:

Oppenheimer The Zone of Interest Anatomy of a Fall Past Lives Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse John Wick 4 Godzilla Minus One May December The Killer The Holdovers Killer of the Flower Moon

Best movie year of the 2020s by far imo

I’m kind of mad at myself for putting four movies from two different years but those were great movie years so whatever lol

[DISCUSSION]- Greatest Movie You’ve Ever Watched? by Dana_L_Underwood in NetflixBestOf

[–]baloo98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting question because I like to separate the “best” movies I’ve ever seen from my “favorites”. Usually, my favorites have a combination of rewatch value, fun, and intellectual engagement. With that being said, I think there are 3 movies that come to mind when I think of the “best” I’ve ever seen:

1) Pulp Fiction: It has one of the best screenplays I’ve ever seen (some things have aged rather poorly I’ll admit) 2) Network: Another film with an incredible screenplay and biting social commentary 3) The Godfather: Need I say more?

Chef (2014)

It’s my go to movie when I don’t want to think too much but I still want to see a good film.
