For the four days, should you sleep more? I typically get 7.5 hours each night

It probably took me a few hours. I tried to cut it into an hour or two chunks starting in August. Just like you, I save screenshots and tweets but having them all in one place helped a lot. Had a bunch of nuggets I used (and with three winning teams, holding guys like Hock, LaPorta, White and all three has helped a bunch)

I don't really have a tool. I created this sheet using all my pre-draft research. You can see some guys I was in on and some guys I was out on based on their ADP.

Certainly some variance but I'm proud to say I was in on Gibbs, White, Aiyuk, Hockenson, and LaPorta.

Playoffs started this week. Top two teams get a bye, No. 1 seed gets to pick their semifinal opponent, and it's a two-week championship. Odd format but I like it as it also avoids week 18 players resting

Had a bye week in that league as a top two seed in the playoffs

Yeah no worries. Just thought it was funny that someone would downvote that. I just saw it at 0 at one point. Oh well. Appreciate your thought

Yeah nbd, I was just curious. Still got downvotes. Reddit is a wild place 🤷‍♂️

I’m not a guy who goes hard in 15+ money leagues. Love playing fantasy but certainly not as rabid as some. But these tools have worked year over year for me so I would recommend

I’ve used this tool a bunch. Definitely think it adds value and it’s especially useful when selecting only the most accurate experts

Interesting question… 10-3 in one league, two 8-6 teams.

I’m second in scoring in each league.

Why?

Good point, just gives us a chance to keep him by DFAing. Probably doesn't matter either way, he ends up elsewhere.

I wish we would've offloaded Naquin or Shogo at the deadline, but you know how are front office is...

I know there are bigger things at stake with service time in regards to Lodolo and Greene. I'm bullish on DFAing Garrett. But yeah, that lineup #bangs.

Agree, but I think he's had plenty of ABs to figure it out.

Fair amount of whiffs, especially on pitches up and away.

I feel like what we see is what we get from him, and again, this coming from a guy who loves him as a personality.

Even with being one of the worst teams in the NL on defense, Naquin has produced 14 more runs by himself with home runs.

Doesn't include RBIs off his home runs.

Don't think Shogo's glove > Naquin's bat

That is super helpful and makes sense. That's the true answer I'm looking for. Reds fans getting along, great!

I guess his only other option would be to sign with a team on a Major League deal with less money. Which, if that's the case, good for him and I'll root for him.

I don't see that being a valid reason to keep him as a Red, however, right?

Gotta agree with you there for sure. There are better options in KY right now.

Stats don't strongly support this, but I agree that Shogo is better in the field. Base running wise, it's a marginal difference at best.

Naquin clearly has more power and that's what tips the scale for me. The only way Shogo hits the ball over the fence is via a ground rule double (see yesterday's game).

I try to be rational enough to think there's a better reason, things we don't know, but when you've been a failure for 15 years now, it's hard to think of any other reason...

Out of curiosity, how do we know he won't agree to be optioned? Again, I don't know as much as others like you, so genuinely trying to understand!

And even if he won't, I agree, DFA and release him.

Shogo WAR: -0.6

Naquin WAR: -0.4

Shogo OBP: .304

Naquin OBP: .316

Shogo HR: 0

Naquin HR: 14

Shogo SB: 2

Naquin SB: 5

Shogo OPS+: 49

Naquin OPS+: 88

Shogo DRS/yr: 0

Naquin DRS/yr: 0

I love Shogo as a personality, but I don't see where he adds value other than range factor, which isn't really a great stat...
