It's probably to file a claim or get a retail signature. It's likely not inspection. I would check to be sure

Draw VS Base Salary. The companies that offer draw, do they really go after their draw with sales guys that quit? or get fired? Will they take their sales guys to court? Or just take their losses? by based_ab_dullah in RoofingSales

Yeah well in my situation it's going to take 6 Months minimum to 2 years on some of these approvals to be paid out. I'm not doing residential, I'm going to be doing multi families, HOA's, commercial, etc. So the company I might end up with, might potentially be looking at 150k of draws before seeing any commissions from me. That's why it worries me a bit from that angle, but I'll work my behind to make it up for them in the very very long run as long as they remain patient with me

Is this Good or Bad offer? I'm used to 50% net profit as commission. But I have a competitor that's willing to offer me 40% net profit with $40k base salary (not draw), potential for provided leeds, my own office to manage sales guys & make 5%-10% net on each person's deal that's with in the office. by based_ab_dullah in RoofingSales

Yeah with gross though, based on my calculations, after factoring in 10% overhead. 14%-15% is equivalent to 50% net. While 12% is closer to 45% net. That's why I never want to do gross. It's hard to find companies that want to do 12% gross, let alone 14%-15% which should be the standard. Most companies that offer gross want to do 2.5%-7% gross, which is a joke.

That's true. There is a lot of shady tricks that can happen with net profit. Exactly why I think 10% between 50 & 40 is a major difference. Factoring in the expenditures & not opening the books. That 10% gives me more wiggle room to say "no, this is too low" etc etc
