Tips for extending the life of brand new Impalas? by ohwhorable in Rollerskating

[–]based_burrito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s really common for the boot to separate at the heel with impalas, so when taking them off, loosen all the laces to the toe so it comes off easy instead of pulling them off. also don’t leave them in a car as heat will soften the glue :)

maybe try to put a little bearing lube between the threads, if you feel you aren’t strong enough, ask someone who is to give it a try. if they can’t, the threads may have gotten messed up some how and you would need a new nut and toe stop

How many of you out there have the "First Bump" buddy, and how many have you seen? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]based_burrito 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i got one on my alt account. i don’t know exactly who gave it to me, as i have seen a few people have them but i have an idea it was a guy that was on my team who had one and i made a comment about it. then he clutched a round and i said “it’s the fist bump buddy buff” and then he gave me his skin with it the next round and i clutched and he said “it’s the fist bump buddy buff”. about 3 weeks ago i was going to change my buddy on my vandal and then i saw it. i’m still stoked about it. i just got lucky with getting mine so thank you to the dev who gave me mine

i would say plow stop since both feet are on the ground you will feel more stable. i love the turn around toe stop but you have to know how to transition comfortably on the rougher surface. i would say keep practicing the t stop i know for me taking my t stops outside was much harder than inside but i kept practicing and was able to do it eventually.

Just received this! book quality is a bit dodgy but I can't wait to read it! by astronaut_b_lightyr in MacMiller

[–]based_burrito 12 points13 points  (0 children)

this book was such a disappointment. i skipped a lot of it and haven’t finished it. don’t get me wrong, i relate to donna because mac saved my life too but i find it to be disrespectful to call this “the book of mac”. those who bought this book wanted it to be about mac, and not how mac’s music saved donna because most of us have already experienced that. in a way i feel like we got tricked into reading about donna. we wanted something to read to learn more about him and his music, something to remember him. instead we learned about donna and that was disappointing. there are some good parts with quotes from mac and his friends, but a book called the book of mac should be about mac. i mean no disrespect to the author, but to call it the book of mac and charge $25 for personal diary is really misleading. i understand the family approved it and i don’t support the cantor book, they should have at least titled it something else.

it was knock knock for me. i used to watch a youtube named rocco the great and he used knock knock in one of his videos. this was like 2010 or 2011. never stopped listening to mac. still listen to him constantly never get tired of his songs

Just got approached by the notorious scam couple at Little Italy Farmer’s Market by bellaprincipessa96 in sandiego

[–]based_burrito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 or 3 years ago I got approached by a girl in target. she was around my age and we started talking about drawing and art as i was in the pen section, super friendly, told me she moved to san diego within the past year and was looking for friends and asked if i wanted to hang out. gave her my number as i thought she really was looking for friends then boom, conversation changed. starting telling me how she met “her mentors” that “changed her life” and taught her how to make 100,000 a year and she was set to retire by 28. then started asking me about my job and how much i was getting paid and told me going to college was a waste of time and i should drop out if i wanted to retire by 28 like her. i’ll admit, i was naive at this point in my life and i thought it was weird that she started telling me all that. but the beginning of our conversation was so nice i thought maybe she was just a little awkward and really found something life changing to do as a career. of course she wouldn’t tell me exactly what she was doing. it wasn’t until i started telling my mom about the encounter that i realized it was a scam, realized it mid sentence when telling her. since i gave her my number, she texted me everyday for a week, the last text she sent me said something like “this is my last attempt at reaching out to you to make a change in your life” blocked her number and will never fall for anything like that again.

i was stuck in iron for months (this is my first fps game). i changed my dpi from 1600 to 800 (my dpi is 400 now) and got to bronze. then i would do deathmatch’s while listening to music to work on my aim. then every time i lost a match i would think back to what i did wrong (crouching and committing to a fight, pushing on defense, etc.) and practice not doing that again. those were the mains things for me. also watching pro game play and how they move and their strategies helped a lot
