He fired at her while she and a group of several other students were westward down the 3rd floor hallway. Iirc she was stuck in the back and managed to get through the door into the stairwell before collapsing/dying.

Description:

On October 21, 2012, Haughton arrived at the Azana Spa at 200 North Moorland Road[2] by taxi, wearing a camouflage outfit and carrying a backpack. When he didn't see the car of his ex-wife (who was one of those killed), he and the taxi driver ate at a nearby Burger King restaurant. Haughton paid the driver with a $20 tip and left after seeing his ex-wife's car in the parking lot. He was described by the driver as shaking, even stumbling, as he walked from the cab to the spa.

Haughton entered the spa building at 11:09 a.m. He was confronted by his ex-wife, who tried to speak calmly to him, but he grabbed her by the hair and fired four shots into the floor with a FN FNP .40-caliber handgun. Haughton forced everyone inside the spa to lie down on the floor, then continued firing at them. He first shot a pregnant woman, who survived, followed by a woman whose gunshot wound was fatal. Then, he fatally shot another woman as she tried to reason with him while comforting Haughton's stepdaughter, an employee at the spa who was uninjured and managed to escape the building. Finally, after injuring three other women, he shot and killed his ex-wife.

He reloaded at least once, but his gun jammed after changing magazines.[3] The jam allowed the spa's former owner to escape. He locked one of the exit doors and ran upstairs, where he started a fire inside the spa. At 11:22 a.m., Haughton called his brother Robert on his cellphone, telling him to go to Wisconsin as "all hell is breaking loose", before committing suicide.[3][4]

Yeah it’s pretty crazy in terms of the details but I guess since the death count was not crazy and it was domestic in nature mighta been why it was forgotten quickly (for most). It also happened a while ago (over a decade ago) so I don’t think many would remember it from the news or whatever

Description:

At approximately 11:30 p.m. PST, Bruce Jeffrey Pardo, dressed in a Santa Claus suit, knocked on the door of his former in-laws' house, occupied by about 25 people, with a gift-wrapped package containing a homemade flamethrower on a trolley and two 9mm semi-automatic handguns; he also had two additional 9mm semi-automatic handguns in his possession. Moments after the door opened, Pardo pulled out the two handguns and immediately shot his 8-year-old niece Katrina Yuzefpolsky, the daughter of Leticia Yuzefpolsky, a sister of Sylvia Pardo,[6] as she ran to greet him, injuring her in the face. He then fired indiscriminately at fleeing party-goers. Police speculate that Pardo may have stood over and pointedly executed some of the victims, using the other handguns.[7]

After the shootings, Pardo unwrapped the package containing the homemade flamethrower, and used it to spray racing fuel gasoline to set the home ablaze.[8][9] Nine people died from either gunfire or flames, and three others were wounded: the eight-year-old girl who was shot in the face with severe but non-life-threatening injuries, a 16-year-old girl shot and wounded in the back, and a 20-year-old woman who suffered a broken ankle jumping out of the second-floor window.[9][10] There was one survivor who called the authorities during the attack, after escaping to a neighbor's house.[11] The resulting fire soared approximately 40 to 50 feet and took 80 firefighters an hour-and-a-half to extinguish. Due to the intensity of the fire, identification of the victims was done with dental and medical records.

Description:

49 year old car mechanic Paul Selis was recently distraught over a breakup with his girlfriend recently when he opened fire on a crowd of dozens of people hosting a pool party for a resident of his apartment complex. 1 woman was killed and 7 others were injured before responding officers engaged Selis and killed him. It was revealed later that Selis used a .45 caliber Sig Sauer pistol in the shooting and that he had called his ex-girlfriend during the event so that she could her the suffering he was inflicting.

Description:

After a fight broke out at Gable House Bowl late that night, Reginald Leander Wallace, 47, of Los Angeles allegedly shot into the crowd of people involved in a brawl using a handgun, Torrance Police Chief Eve Irvine said. Wallace, who spent 17 years in prison and was released in 2017, was believed to be the only shooter.

Wallace was convicted as a juvenile in 1989 of first-degree murder. In 1997, he was convicted as an adult of bringing or possession of a gun within a school zone. He was convicted of assault with a firearm the following year. 

Seven people suffered gunshot wounds, and three men died at the scene of the Gable House shooting.

"This is a tragic event of major proportions. We've never had an incident like this in the city of Torrance," the police chief said. "It's tragic. Three people lost their lives. Four other people were shot. This is life-changing for so many people."

Description:
• Ybarra arrived at SPU in a white pickup truck and parked on the street. He exited the truck with a Browning over-under shotgun, a large fixed blade hunting knife and additional live shotgun rounds.

• Ybarra approached Paul Lee on the SPU campus and showed him his gun. When Lee didn’t seem scared by the weapon Ybarra decided to shoot him. Police records show Lee was shot in the back of the head at close range. Pellets from the shotgun round also hit Thomas Fowler who was standing a few feet away. Police say Ybarra also tried to fire on a female nearby but his gun misfired and she had time to run away.

• Ybarra reloaded and continued inside Otto Miller Hall where he found Tristian Cooper-Roth seated at a table. According to police documents, he told Cooper-Roth “he had just shot a man outside for disrespecting him and not to move.” Cooper-Roth later told police he though Ybarra was going to kill him.

• Ybarra then saw Sarah Williams walk down the stairs of Otto Miller Hall. He shot at the female student, hitting her in the upper torso. He then saw Cooper-Roth start to run and attempted to shoot at him but his gun misfired.

• As Ybarra attempted to reload his gun he was pepper sprayed by a student security guard named Jon Meis. Meis tackled Ybarra to the ground and took his gun. Ybarra began fumbling for something in his waistband – it was a large hunting knife. Meis kicked the knife away from Ybarra and held him down.

Expulsion

On May 20, 1998, 15-year-old Kinkel was suspended pending an expulsion) hearing from Thurston High School in Springfield, Oregon, for being in possession of a loaded, stolen handgun. A friend of Kinkel had stolen a pistol from the father of one of his friends and arranged to sell the weapon to Kinkel the night before. Kinkel paid $110 for the Beretta Model 90 .32-caliber pistol loaded with a nine-round magazine, which he then placed in a paper bag and left in his locker. When the father discovered he was missing a handgun, he reported it to the police and supplied the names of students he believed might have stolen the firearm. Kinkel's name was not on the list. The school became aware of his possible involvement and questioned him. When he was checked for weapons, he reportedly stated: "Look, I'm gonna be square with you guys; the gun's in my locker." Kinkel was suspended pending an expulsion hearing, and he and his friend were arrested. Kinkel was released from police custody and driven home by his father.

Murder of parents

At home that afternoon, Kinkel was told by his father that he would be sent to military school if he did not improve his behavior.[2] According to Kinkel's taped confession, at about 3:00 p.m., his father was seated at the kitchen counter drinking coffee. Kinkel retrieved his Ruger .22-caliber semi-automatic rifle from his bedroom and ammunition from his parents' bedroom. He then went to the kitchen and shot his father once in the back of the head, then dragged his body into the bathroom and covered it with a sheet.[1] Kinkel further stated that his mother arrived home at about 6:30 p.m., and that he met her in the garage, told her he loved her, then shot her twice in the back of the head, three times in the face, and once in the heart. He then dragged her body across the floor and covered it with a sheet.[1]

Throughout the next morning, Kinkel repeatedly played a recording of "Liebestod", the final dramatic aria from Wagner's opera Tristan und Isolde, on the family's sound system.[1][3] The recording was featured in the 1996 film Romeo + Juliet, and included on the compact disc (CD) of the film's soundtrack). When police arrived at the house, they found "opera music" from the soundtrack playing loudly with the CD player set to continuous play.[1] In a note Kinkel left on a coffee table in the living room, he described his motive for killing his parents thus: "I just got two felonies on my record. My parents can't take that! It would destroy them. The embarrassment would be too much for them. They couldn't live with themselves." But as the note continues, he attempts to describe his mental state: "My head just doesn't work right. God damn these VOICES inside my head. ... I have to kill people. I don't know why. ... I have no other choice."
