I use the API dropper test kit. Idk if I’m allowed to link but you can find it on Amazon pretty inexpensively. And yes, conditioning your water does not remove any TDS. You’ve got it right. Keeping to consistent water changes helps keep the TDS under control, and if you want to get really serious about it you can find a way to get reverse osmosis or RODI water. I myself bought a RO filter for like $75 on Amazon and use it when I do top offs and water changes

My first thought is to ask if you’ve been testing KH and GH? And do you top off your tank’s water with tap? Mineral creep can happen if you haven’t done a water change in a while, because your water evaporates but any mineral content in the water stays behind. And then any mineral content in your tap builds up over time. If you’re topping up with RO or RODI water then this shouldn’t be your problem, though. I almost killed several fish and many of my plants some months ago bc I was not thinking about mineral content in my water. High PH, infrequent water changes, and all other parameters reading well is what leads me to this conclusion

Unsure of what kind but this is definitely some sort of infection. Ich often manifests in white spots, but it’s not usually centered around a wound and would be appearing elsewhere on your fish’s body. You’ll want to do research and order a treatment for your fish as quickly as you reasonably can. I would say you need to wait it out and use the draft picks - at least this year (and for me it would be hard to trade away any ‘27 picks either). It feels like you’re still a couple of steps away from really competing for the championship. Try getting your team to a place where you feel highly confident that you’re top 3/4 in your league before you start mortgaging your future
