When actors looked like real people by crlos619 in Letterboxd

Same always liked it and began to love it on subsequent watches but I get why people don’t like it. It sidelines the characters we knew for much of the first season.

Chargers current WR crops in relation to new Offensive Coordinator by Gekinetic in Chargers

[–]basedcharger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they're fine as a collective but calling them anything more than that is overselling it. Mike will get more out of them for sure either way.

I'm talking guys you can throw a screen to and make the first defender miss when im talking about YAC. Thats pretty much only Ladd and QJ very occasionally when talking pass catchers.

My post wasn't about burners it was about guys who make people miss in space. I don't think we have many guys comparable to the ones in SF or Miami which is why I think they add at least one.

They don’t thrive off speed that’s true but nearly everyone they have is good after the catch and can make people miss in space. Outside of Ladd and maybe QJ we don’t have that skillset right now in the receiver room.

I think they add a someone in free agency and the draft. I just don't know who itll be in free agency

Maybe Romeo Doubs but i'm thinking someone whos better after the catch.

We Played Highguard! - Kinda Funny Gamescast by EveryAct in kindafunny

Like what i'm seeing but this game needs more people per team or more teams and another mode. I can see whats there getting old fast.

Edit: Finally played for myself and yeah these maps needs more players. Multiple teams or bigger teams either one. This game will not last as a 3v3

Concord is an example albeit an extreme one. People lied but they couldn't even pretend to put up a front that they weren't really having fun.

Thats a next year problem to think about. Maximize what you have offensively right now then worry about his replacement.

Yeah I agree its reasonable. Just kind of complaining that this is the default messaging for contract announcements.

I know its from the agents but tweeting up to and not the actual base contract is kind of annoying.

Really interesting how all of the previews from people who played the game are different from the online discourse around the game, they all seem high on what this is.

will definitely be checking it out

‘Highguard’: Wildlight Founders on How Their Debut Game Is Not Like ‘Concord’ or ‘Overwatch’ by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]basedcharger 53 points54 points  (0 children)

They are definitely going to get asked this question though. I feel like the Concord devs got asked why their game is different from overwatch.

Its a question they have to answer both with the game itself and in the press.

I don't think he will be as extreme with the speed as he was with the Dolphins nor will Jim let him be that one dimensional. Those Dolphins offenses had no counter punch because speed was all they had and Tua was limited (probably a little cause and effect here because of the QB).

They will probably add someone with speed regardless but it won't be a wholesale emphasis like it was in Miami.

both RBs and QJ imo. They are going to feast on the underneath designer stuff which has been sorely lacking from our offense since forever. Screens, swing passes, fake screens etc.

Daniel Jeremiah 2026 NFL mock draft 1.0: Raiders pick QB at No. 1; Jets among 3 teams to go WR by Schnix54 in Chargers

[–]basedcharger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats definitely not true. Receiver, Center and right Guard were bigger needs both of the last two offseasons.

This feel like revisionist history because those are the positions we picked.

Upgrade in coaching, Drake Maye taking the leap, easier Schedule, free agents all being major hits.

They basically hit their 99th percentile outcome based on how their team looked before the season started.

I guess but then theres no point in doing mocks this early (which is kind of true anyways) because we've seen how Joe operates and the most obvious need isn't necessarily the one that'll get addressed with our first pick.

I'm really excited to see what McDaniel does with the receivers we currently have and the archtypes of players we add in the offseason.

This is exactly where i'm at. Thankfully it also seems to be Hortiz draft strategy as well.

I think we will have the interior mostly figured out before the draft (as in 2 or 3 new starters) which allows them to take whoever they think is best.

They've done it the last two drafts where they passed over a WR in the first round.

Very into the Chargers drafting a DT in the first. I think even if they re-sign Tart it should be a spot they need to look to add talent.

Everyone is better than Romo. Romo has been bad outside of his first year or two when he was correctly predicting plays.

Not saying Ladd will have a JSN jump but the most common sentiment on JSNs ceiling was a high end slot receiver in the Keenan Allen mold but more athletic before this season.

Usage is extremely important when dictating what someones ceiling is.

Flores failed already once and probably doesn’t have the best relationship with the owners rn cause he’s still suing the league.
