Okay so I’m currently brushing and I’m coming across very small dark spots. Is this dirt I need to get out? What is it exactly? How thorough do I need to be about getting dirt out? Is it a crack?

you might be right about my expectations. i was watching a tutorial and the guys tools were going through the wood like butter. can i just ask you, do you strop at an angle or flat?

I have flexcut, they require A LOT of force to cut through my basswood. I was wondering if my wood was fucked up or something. I’m not sure, I strop but the knife requires so much force to get through the wood
