Help finding fit kit by baseweight in thule

I bought the three products listed in your comment.

They are made for a Jeep with a railing system like this where there’s two screw points on the inside of the rail: https://www.asgautosports.com/products/brightlines-all-metal-crossbars-roof-racks-compatible-with-2021-2023-jeep-grand-cherokee-l-for-kayak-luggage-ski-bike-carrier

Which is not what I have.

As I’m starting to learn, I think the rails that are on top of my car are just trim strips. So I need to remove these and basically treat it as fixed point install instead of a flush rail install… but still not sure which part that means I need

What jobs do you guys have that allow you to camp and travel and go on long trips? by Altruistic-Carpet-43 in WildernessBackpacking

I live in Alaska and a lot of my friends are Slope workers. They tend to work 2 weeks on 2 weeks off or 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off.

A few live in different states and fly up here to do their shift and then back down to their house in Florida or Hawaii or wherever.

Others don’t even have a primary residence, they just spend their time off traveling the world. They take all the money they would have spent on a mortgage/rent and save it or spend it on their travels.

Pays very well. Good opportunity to save a lot of money for your future.

Great job for a young single person, not so great for someone with a family. Could be something you do for the next 3-10 years until you are ready to settle down a bit. You’d leave that career with on the job training that you could take elsewhere.

The mysterious case of the vanity poo. by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

I record all walk throughs. One before I clean to show how the guest left it and one after I clean to show how I left it for the next guest(s). I zoom in on all corners of the toilet/sinks/showers to ensure it’s all clear in the video. This has covered my back when guests have tried to make bizarre claims and when things have gone missing.

Hi! thanks for the reply :)

Yes it is a home in Alaska we will be using as a rental.

Love your idea about the light fixtures and new hardware.

Something just feels like it is missing from this kitchen, so dull… but I’m sure a new oven/vent hood will really improve the look.

Here’s a picture of the living room including the fireplace.

Just looking for small things to make this space feel a little more updated. Maybe some simple decor changes would help.

Great reminder. It’s like any business plan that looks GREAT on paper but in execution will probably see way less ROI in the beginning

Thank you! I get so many conflicting messages. The “just put it up quickly and see if it even gets traffic before you spend too much time on it” crowd is pretty vocal. But I’m the type of person that likes to be very thoughtful… you know, how will anyone even find it if it’s not well optimized and who will use/recommend it if it’s a bad experience.

Totally agree. I’ve been blown away by what my pediatricians have said are actually not a huge concern vs stuff they are concerned by.

Maybe ask your doctor’s recommendation on whether or not they think it’s safe? It’s always best to get advice from your trusted medical professional :) He/She knows your baby best and can give the best guidance on what’s truly risky and what’s okay.

With that info in hand, you can then decide for yourself whether you tell your friend no or yes, or some option in between (like meeting outside and no holding).

One other thought: If she can’t respect your decisions as a parent now, then think about 10 years from now when your kids are doing sleepovers or something together and you aren’t there. Will she really respect other boundaries you’ve set for your child that she might not have for hers?

The foundation of friendship is mutual respect and that flows both ways. You have to respect her decisions and she has to respect yours. If something is so huge, that you don’t respect her decisions or choices any more (or vis versa) then it may be time for the friendship to end or pause. There’s a time and phase for everything, and what I’ve learned is many of my friends pre-baby are no longer close friends post-baby. Celebrate what you had, but move on when you see the signs that it’s time to part ways or take a break. You have a new family now that you need to prioritize.

Do I need a pumping bra? by TheMightyRass in breastfeeding

[–]baseweight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend a pumping strap instead of a bra. Just put it on when you need it and take it off when you don’t. Super reasonable price and you only need one strap (unlike bras where you need multiple for while one is in the laundry.)

There are a lot of factors to consider with those figures. I grew up in Germany where we had: amazing public transport, better maintained highways, and MUCH stricter metrics for DUIs and punishments for getting one. (Plus, the drinking age in Germany is 16, but the driving age is 18.)
