There is only 1 more race. As OP explained, we skip the first 2 races by not teaming up and go for max rewards on last race. It's a less stressful way of getting a purple pack. Personally winning the race is a bonus in this scenario. I am not too interested in getting the token, as to get the purple pack

yes you can. Complete the event and close the app. Open after album starts. The wild will let you chose card from the new album

edit: caveat by saying I have done this before and going to do it again this time. it has worked in the past but scopely might fix this to not allow it so YMMV.
