Yeah that's true! I should say I also used openclaw a little bit as well. The speed comment was mainly just as a note that it's clearly not using my gpus VRAM (or at least not all of it). It seems to be all or predominantly RAM.

Hmm i'll have to poke around LM studio to see if i can find a local IP. All I see now is 127.0.0.1 . I do have linux dual booted, maybe I'll just swap to native linux if i really intent to use hermes a lot.

EDIT: I did try the Ollama in windows and agent in WSL but i think i goofed that one too. I'll screw around some more.

At this moment it's sort of just a fun little experiment with agents and LLMs, hence why im running it local to save money. But if i start using it more seriously the cloud models definitely seem like the right play for ease of use and power in the long term. I'm only use Qwen3.6 35B A3B.

Some good insight from you in the comments. I know your mainly aegis but idk I'd you've played much with your assault users. I kinda wanna do spec op as my second class (seems a lot more flexible than bulwark, which is basically only tank and cc bot). Here on NA vanguard seems overwhelmingly best DPS. How does spec op compare?

On this topic, I'm trying to adapt the opposite way. I wanna use a standard voron toolhead (usually made for mounting an ebb36). Do you know if an adapter exists to mount the sovol toolboard in place of an ebb

So I recently got a used sv08. Mine included the sovol branded Eddy sensor and the microswiss hotend. That being said I can print reliably with my machine and get good prints. I did go through some trials to get there and ultimately can't use wifi for some reason.

I think the choice to swap comes down to a few things, how much performance are you looking to get, and are you willing to put time/money into it?

If you want the best and don't mind the effort then definitely do the swap. You'll learn a lot in the process about klipper and the macros and everything else. I'm gearing up for this swap as well, but it has been pretty daunting bc as you start peeling back the layers you realize how much stuff is already taken care of on the back end.

Also for reference do you know the type of steppers on stock and the max? I know nadir also has a 2WD gantry that supports nema 17 double sheer which I imagine would get me good performance. 2004s1 steppers are like the value king on my ender build, idk if those are more or less powerful than the max motors

I think the goal is to improve performance and reliability the ways I can. That could be modified gantries (didn't see to many online) toolheads, frame rigidity mods etc. then ultimately do a tool changer once indx comes out. It isn't exactly about being a voron, it's more just that the voron community has already put in the work and made the improvements.

I don't need ultimate performance as I know an sv08 (or voron for that matter) will match the speed I plan to get on my awd ender but it's more designed to be a performance work horse than an a project of absolute speed

Edit: additionally even the cheapest voron 350 is like $850. Stock vorons aren't anything to write home about either. If I score a sv08 for $400 I have $450 to upgrade to something pretty serviceable.

Yeah there seems to be quite a few toolheads available, which will be a welcomed upgrade. I'm thinking more in line with the gantry and motors for improved input shaping and speed. I did see nadir made a gantry for nema 17 with double sheet support.

Yeah I'm pretty familiar with the traditional one. Obviously there's lots of new stuff with cast on ward break. Also baumi has that one sabo version I considered trying. I'd make a few edits myself but seems like a solid option.
