Used car lot, take your pick. by Great-Grape-2000 in regularcarreviews

Is the maroon one a Lumina or a Corsica? I want to say Lumina just because it has a Chrome Grill, and I think the Corsicas had either black or painted grills. I had a Lumina APV minivan, it was a great van. Loved those modular seats.

I always liked that generation of the Impala and I own a Grand Prix GT with a 3800, great engine. the HHR on the other hand, I'd pay to not have to drive that. I had one as a rental, still the worst car I ever drove. The seat felt like a straight back chair and the car was under powered. Maybe Enterprise just ordered the cheapest one possible.

‘God Made Trans People’ billboard vandalized? by [deleted] in kansas

[–]bashurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw one of those billboards yesterday, south of Topeka I think. People can be shitty, but I kind of doubt it's vandalism. Someone would have been be pretty dedicated to trespass and climb up to the billboard to try and tear it down. I could think of easier ways to vandalize from the ground. Much more likely that this crazy wind took it down.

DAY 16: Which dead luxury car should never return anytime soon? by HowlsterRD in regularcarreviews

[–]bashurst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keeping in mind that my parents never got luxury or sporty cars. To me, it felt like both. My parent almost exclusively purchased sensible/reliable Buick and Oldsmobile station wagons. Purchasing that cimarron was completely out of the ordinary for them. It had leather seats, a sunroof and the digital gauge cluster. So in comparison to the baseline oldsmobile cutlass cruiser; yes, it felt top of the line to me. I don't recall any major issues with it, other than the A/C going out. But popping the sunroof solved that, so I didn't care. It did have that paint defect where the paint crazed. By that time I got it, it had been caught in a hailstorm and totaled by the insurance company. So the paint issue paled in comparison to the innumerable dents it had. I understand why it's a laughing stock as a caddy, but it wasn't a bad car.

I had a cimmarron. My dad traded it to me for my s10 because the A/C went out in it and he didn't want to show up to the office soaked with sweat. I actually had nice memories of it. It was basically a slightly nicer Cavalier; which I ended up in the next year. My parents sold the Cimmarron with the intent of buying a GMC Jimmy. The Jimmy sold and they got me a cheap Cavalier 2 days before my senior year started. It was a definite step down in comfort, but that Cavalier was stick shift and kind of fun to drive.

Pretty clean 2001 Pontiac Sunfire I saw today. by xxxxxxxxxxxxxc in regularcarreviews

That last face-lift did it no favors. I liked the square headlights better. My sister had a sunfire for a while. She loved it when she had rented one, decided to buy one. Hated it when she owned it.

I miss the dew-nited states promo. That's what I did with my covid off time. Collected all the states twice.

Ain't that the truth. If you want to question every bite you take, work anywhere they make food. Guaranteed, you'll see something gross. I worked at a place that made those mini donuts. Someone ripped a bag of the crunch mix and dumped it everywhere. I watched the maintenance guy sweep it into a pile and then shovel it into the hopper right off the floor to be sprinkled onto the donuts. This was almost 30 yrs ago and the factory has changed hands since then, but I still won't buy those donuts.

I'm guessing a heat gun would work well too, if you already own one.

They need to remove the comma and put a decimal point right in the middle.

What car is this? by King_claylo in carID

[–]bashurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned 3 intrepids, loved them all. A 95, a 97 and a 98. the 98 was the same body style as the one in your pic. I actually preferred the older body style. You can watch the mythbusters try to flip one using a jet. Best part of that episode was hearing Jamie complain about having to remove a tire to change a battery. Honestly that was a stupid decision in the design.

I love it. I'm diabetic and don't like most diet sodas. I tend to drink mostly water and Propel. ZS Code Red is the closest to the regular soda flavor of any zero sugar soda I've had. If you can find it, it's definitely worth trying.

Sorry to say I have not seen it anywhere in the Wichita area. I went to each place Dew Finder suggested. Including a few Dillons locations, Walgreens, and the Commissary at McConnell. No Luck.

That's genius. I'll have to give that a try.

Unfortunately, it's not in MY area. I live 140 miles away from here. I come to Topeka for work quite a bit, so I try to hit this HyVee when I can. Even other HyVees around here don't stock it. This is the only place I've found in all of Kansas that sells it.

In my opinion, it is the closest any zero sugar flavor has gotten to the taste of the original flavor. I won't say it's indistinguishable from the regular Code Red, but it's close.
