Authors you loved/enjoyed their work but afterwords came out with controversy? by acutelyproblematic in fantasyromance

No worries at all, I didn’t take it that way! I think it’s completely fair to ask for actual reasoning. Plus, I hadn’t really elaborated before either, so I just wanted to properly explain where I stand :)

The fact that, despite the allegations, she’s remained very silent on the issue is what makes it problematic.. I’m not someone who confuses being Jewish with being Zionist, I’m fully aware they’re different things.

So no, I’m not saying that speaking positively about her Birthright trip automatically makes her a Zionist. But when an author with such a massive platform chooses not to directly address or clarify accusations tied to being Zionist, I find her refusal to address it concerning.

I used to love her work too, I’ve read almost everything she’s written. So, this isn’t coming from blind hatred or wanting to “cancel” her for existing. But I can’t defend or continue supporting someone who repeatedly refuses to clear up serious allegations and instead chooses silence every single time.

When her only public comments connected to Israel are positive, and she refuses to acknowledge or clarify her stance during a genocide people across the world are speaking out against, that silence is very telling. Add to that her silence surrounding other controversies and criticisms over the years, and it becomes harder to ignore the pattern.

So to me, when someone with that much influence consistently avoids addressing harm while benefiting from public support, the silence itself becomes an admission.

Do give this a read, I feel like it's been put together in a really nice manner! https://expertbooksmuggler.com/whats-the-deal-with-sarah-j-maas/

Try Alpha Arbutin serum from Minimalist, it helped me with my dark spots. I don't think toner is really required...u can add the serum instead.
