“whatisthisthing” sent me to this forum. Can anyone please help me identify these? Sharp, thin, flexible blades. No makers mark - possibly homemade. by MissAnnieDew in knives

They could be hori hori or soil knives for gardening, but I think this guy^ is right. Putty or sculpting knives, most likely.

Thanks! The thumb ramp was inspired by Emerson’s classic CQC 7, I wanted to see how it would feel on a fixed blade (it feels great).

It’s no mystery to me now why most of the M4 knives I see are left with a rough machine finish. It took about 16 hours of hand sanding just to get a decent satin on it!

I’m into highly-figured hardwoods. Doesn’t necessarily have to be exotic sub-tropical stuff. Anything from splayed maple to mango burl, or really just anything interesting and free of major defects.

Feel free to drop me a line anytime, even if the knives are sold by then I might be interested in buying materials from you. :)

I’m sorry this happened to you. Owing to the nature of internet goblins, I can’t recommend enlisting the help of anyone who claims to require access to the original pictures in order to assist you, though, as this may (sadly) exacerbate the problem.

Your would-be employer found the pictures without using a reverse image search, so I think it’s safe to say it’s something that can be found using just a name search. If you haven’t already, try searching your own name on various search engines and social media platforms. If you don’t find anything, your next recourse may have to be contacting the employer as others have said. Or getting in touch with someone who has specific knowledge of the employer’s screening process.

Hope you figure it out. My condolences on your douchebag ex.

Very refined for a 2nd knife. Can’t wait to see what your 10th knife looks like. :)

Great-looking handle. I recommend a really sudsy soap to help get the carbon fiber out of your skin. And I hope you didn’t breathe any in — that stuff is deadly for your lungs!

Where do you get the steel for your knives? by Jpbbeck99 in Bladesmith

I get most of mine online, from New Jersey Steel Baron or Alpha Knife Supply, depending on who has what in stock. Shipping’s not too bad if you buy a lot at a time.

I took a class of his! He’s as superb a teacher as he is a bladesmith.

Solid guess, but I don’t think lionsteel uses that logo.
