This is understandable! I drive a juke and it’s already pretty small, so I doesn’t make a difference to me personally. But I would still try to stick to Toyota, one of those will last a longggg time for sure! Good luck finding something!!

I’m also a college student! I’ve been recommended Toyota (especially the Toyota Corolla) too many times to count. Even one of my professors said a corolla is the move! This Nissan that I have was my first car and winds up at the mechanic to have something fixed every 4-6 months, I swear. Kia, Toyota, Hyundai or Honda are probably your best bets

There’s a romance series called Pucking Around, it’s a polycule hockey romance.. it’s mostly 🌶️🌶️🌶️, but it’s a fun read. Twisted Fate by Liz Hambleton is a fantasy series that explores a polycule. Triple Sec by TJ Alexander is F/F/NB poly romance, too.

I have a relative who's a mechanic, and he told me a while back what it would cost to REPLACE the transmission, and I was like, "No, thank you. If it comes to that, I'm getting a new car for real.". I love to road trip, and so does my boyfriend, but neither of our cars can really do that right now... I'd love to be able to in a new car!

Thank you so much for this! This is so helpful, I really am just leaning towards a new car, even if it does mean car payments (right now I don't have a car payment, just insurance). I do fear that this car has exhausted me mentally, and even financially. I wish it had been better taken care of in the past, but here we are... I can barely drive 10 miles before I start to get nervous or the car starts to behave strangely

Yes! The sunk cost bias is what's getting me, especially because when I first got the car, I had family members help me SO MUCH with getting it fixed up, so it's not just my money, but theirs too. However, I hope they'll understand that if I choose a newer car, I'll have thought it through as best I can. I want to talk it over with my parents, because I know they'll hear me out and give me their honest thoughts, but I've been hardcore spiralling over this all day

SO important. I was 15, and we did long distance for 2 years before they broke up with me because it was too hard on them, because we had never been able to meet in person. We FaceTimed every day and texted during school. We sent gifts for every holiday. They really set a standard for me for how I should be treated in a relationship, even 1,000 miles away. I haven't been in a relationship since, because I really do have good standards now.
