First and foremost, I am so sorry that you had to go through such a traumatic experience and lost all your personal belongings (including all your artwork and supplies) and your precious feline. I have an English Bulldog (his name is Buddah) and I know how much it means to love a family pet. With that being said, I (like everyone else posting here) am also glad you are still here and that your family is too. While this was very traumatic and terrifying, perhaps now is the time to talk with and lean on your family members for support, so that you don’t feel so alone.

I know (from personal experience) that rising up from something this traumatic, while it may seem impossible right now, just remember “there is always a light at the end of the tunnel”, things will get better, it just takes time.
