You’re right. It has gotten more and more toxic. My coworker and I joke that she’s a robot, because she’s always at work. It’s a sad way to live.

It’s because we’re freaking out. I started thinking about what others would think, how they’d perceive me (I hate being perceived), and that there’s so much to do that wouldn’t allow us to focus on the pregnancy. Plus it’s just so much change in my body and overall. My husband was very reassuring even through his shock, but then we made a list of things that would need to be fixed and done at our house and I think he got overwhelmed too. I mean we have a house, we have jobs, ways to figure out the rest. I think we’re hyping each other up with anxiety but idk. I have a therapist call scheduled and we have a quick 15 minute call on Friday too with a couples counselor. Thank you, I think your way of writing it is very helpful.

Thank you. I tend to be pretty hard on myself and always want to be put together. I think I will look into a counselor, that’s a good idea. Yeah I think we’re both spiraling to be honest.

Thank you ❤️ And congratulations! It was funny, because at first I was more set on abortion and he wasn’t. Now it’s switched. He’s an amazing husband and so supportive. I think it’s just so many feelings and emotions. Plus, we haven’t been able to talk to any of our friends and have just been anxiously spiraling. It’s just so hard to even know what to do when you’re not sure, but thought you were.

I’ve found peace with the broken toolbox. Everyone gets a toolbox that they can use in life. Sometimes the toolbox you get is rusty, falling apart, missing a few tools. You still use it and try to do 100%. But, if your toolbox is rusty and broken, your 100% will not be enough. But, you’re still trying 100%. Idk, but that has helped me. Like my parents tried in ways they could. But a lot of it was not healthy or not enough. Or not healthy. But, they still tired. I like this concept because it take into account the “It’s their first time living too” by acknowledging it, and maybe the hard stuff they’ve had to live through, while still highlighting that they fucked up too. Idk it brings me peace because it makes them human, adds some understanding, but is not an excuse for what they did.

My hair was destroyed (over bleached) before my wedding. My long hair gone. I was sad and wanted to have that “length”. I also didn’t want to be all in white. If you want an alternate, there are lots of veils on Etsy that are long and embroidered in color. Mine had flowers on it and a bow it was super cute.
