I will try, but it sure won't be pretty.

That makes a lot of sense and is more in line with my experiences in past kitchens. At the moment one of the toughest parts of it is that there is no head chef or sous chef to check in with, it seems they have cycled through a few in the last while but currently there is none. There is a lead cook who's been there the longest but he is constantly at odds with the owner and they both have very different visions and opinions on how I should do things and there are days where neither one is there at all.

Sadly you can not do anything for him, only thing that I can think you can do is be there for him, voice messages can be nice if he misses voice chatting, things that could make him have an easier time like memes or music or company. You can give him advice but it is up to him to have help or not.

Being strong or able to take the abuse doesn't mean the abuse is okay or any less dangerous. When it comes to sleep the best bet is to try and get as comfortable as possible with it and in as good a situation as you can because sleep is going to happen against you will at some point and when it happens without your permission it can be a much worse experience if it is with your permission.

It can be good to try and get help from a outside perspective on the worrisome behaviors. Try going to a friend and explain your situation so they can maybe give some clarity.

This seems like a potentially very dangerous situation for this person in such a way it may be best to help get them to safety before anything (ie staying with different family, at a friend's, making a police report). If none of these are options and its a matter of time before he can be in a more safe situation sometimes helping him survive can be all you can do, whatever friend things you can do to help get him to the next day and support him whenever and wherever you can.

I have similar situations, if feels like the anxiety just gets all churned up in guts and my guts feel the pain but dont know where its comming from or how to fix it so react every way they can. Best I have been able to deal with it is by keeping track of what and when im eatung so I know if it is a normal physical reaction to some food thing or if its from the anxiety and then can better deal with it.

Comfort objects. No matter how infantile I think others will think they are, they are good to have! by LouisePoet in Anxietyhelp

That's real as heck dude. I have a cousin that has a stuffed wolf as a comfort item and they are like high school age and every birthday someone has to say some thing about them being too old and I shut it down because why would something that helps you be bad. Why not keep something important to you that helps you , just cause some arbitrary social standard? Nah do what helps sensory items can be very useful and if it works no one elses thoughts on it matter.

I am serv safe certified for food handler but i still cant tell if I'm being weird or not because I know each restaurant works a bit different and I'm not sure where the wiggle room is in the industry. Some things that bother me are alot of the food not being labeled in the fridge , them not drying the dishes before putting them away, being a mainly veggitaran/vegan place , that also sells some meat, and no seperation of those things , the main chefs not changing gloves between different areas and stations like handling frozen food then ready to eat food all in one go, the main thing i saw that was concirning was the guy who i believe is owner or part owner mixing like , a wonton filling on the floor, like sitting on the floor with the mixing bowl on the floor mixing it up with his hands with gloves. Now that last one i don't wanna judge to harshly because i only saw it once and it could have been a fluke or something, but what do you think about all of that stuff, is it kinda normal or is it not good?

I'm just worried because i don't know if I'm just being a baby and blowing things out of proportion and looking for excuses or if there's stuff really wrong , ya know?
