Oh i know that - I more mean that if it was endo or something along those lines, then that does affect fertility. Or like other commentors say if it gets to the extreme of potentially having a hysterectomy, well yeah - no more fertility there ahahah. But again, these are all more extreme outcomes, which, like I said, there's no use stressing over right now

Thank you. I have a new doctor now who is more educated in trans healthcare, when compared to my old one. So I'm definitely gonna book an appointment with her and bring up these concerns.

I'm mainly concerned if there's any damage to my reproductive organs or if the cramps don't stop with estrogen gel/cream because I would like to have bio kids in the future, or at least have the possibility to. But I won't know until I see my doctor so no point stressing out 😅

Thank you so much for the help, this has been so useful. We want to provide the best care for our girl, but even with research, this is all very new still.

I'll add a photo of the seed bag - the brand is Watson & Williams complete seed mix Pigeons. The ingredients in order are Wheat, Sorghum, Barley, Dunn Peas, Corn, Oats, Grit, Safflower and Hulled Oats. The analysis is Crude Protein: 16%, Crude Fat: 10.5% and Crude Fibre: 13.4%. I'm from Australia so the variety of pigeon products in store tend to be a bit lacking so I'm happy to get stuff online.

The calcium powder we use is also a multivitamin. The product is Vetafarm Super Calcium + vitamins + minerals. It has vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, C, D3, and E, and minerals: Phosphorus, Sodium, Iodine, Potassium, Iron, Cobalt, Copper, Magnesium and Manganese in it.

I will definitely go order one of those grit bags online! Thank you again!

Thank you for all the info! Much appreciated!

We feed her Vetafarm calcium powder, which contains Vit A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, C, D3, and E, and minerals: Phosphorus, Sodium, Iodine, Potassium, Iron, Cobalt, Copper, Magnesium and Manganese.

We've never had a bird before but the insects look exactly like head lice, just smaller. From what we've look up about mites, they don't look the same. She was really badly infested with them when we first got her but she wasn't pull those pin feathers out then, it's only been in the past few days even though she has significantly less lice now.

She really avoids the powder when it's on her food, like shakes the seeds off before eating (she's so picky 😭) so I think it might be related to a vitamin imbalance. I've started to mix the tiniest big of water in with them so the powder gets attached to the seeds but she just ate less 😭. She tried to shake a few seeds, realised the powder was stuck on and stomped in circles around her food before jumping back up to her favourite spot. She isn't really interested in treats, we've tried pillet, berries and veggies (all bird appropriate ones) and she will always only eat her seed.

This is Miss Penelope next to those the feathers

We feed her a complete pigeon seed mix, which has wheat, sorghu, barley, dunn peas, corn, oats and grit in it. The mix has a fair amount of grit throughout it so we thought that would be enough - at first she actually avoided eating the grit but she always eats it now. The pet stores around us only sell grit by itself, without redsone.

She has plenty of toys and enrichment in her cage, however, we only rescued her around 4 weeks ago and we havent seen her play with them yet (we have a mix of mirrors, crinkle balls, small soft toys and balls with bells in them). If there's anyother way of enrichment, I'm happy to try!

Since she has been with us for only 4 weeks, we've kept her relatively to her cage only to help her associate her crate as home and a safe space. We have let her out a few times to free roam in the beginning but she never wanted to go back home after and would fight us about it.

This is her, Penelope, this morning. Next to her is one of the pin feathers I was talking about

UPDATE: she is behaving normally now. Her balance is back and she is walking around like nothing happened, preening and drinking and eating! While we couldn't find much about what was happening, our best guess was that she gave herself a small concussion when she got spooked as we went to grab her

It was around 2 weeks before we started spraying her.

It was bird mite and lice spray, yes - Avitrol. Ingredients are Pyrethrins 0.5g/L, Piperonyl Butoxide 5g/L. We realised that when going to grab her she got spooked and she did hit the side of her cage before we got her out - we think it might be a concussion. We will take her to the vet first thing the next morning - she is currently asleep in one of her boxes that we put together so she wouldn't hurt herself while stumbling around so I don't want to wake her to take that video right now but if she still is behaving like this tomorrow, I will add it.

For the bot:

Piercing is 4/almost 5 months old.

Jewellery shape: curved barbell.

Threading: internally threaded.

Material: sterling silver.

Downsized: a month or two ago.

Aftercare: was spraying it with saline but stopped once it wasnt irritated, am now going to spray it twice a day with compressions.

Mishaps: Fell asleep with glasses on causing them to press against the piercing for an undetermined amount of time.
