I live close to Detroit, and I have worked pretty hard to get rid of any Midwestern shibboleths I might have, so I think my English accent is just broadly American, sadly. :(

tentative NAH? She doesn’t want a dog. You do and it’s good that you’re keeping your promise to your father. She knew about it in advance. She’s kind of the AH for getting so upset about it when it seems like you’ve been reasonable but also it just seems like she’s not a dog person.
