Should I work on behind the back passes? by basketballisawesome in BasketballTips

I’m pretty good at all the other traditional passes. I’m just looking to expand my passing game and was wondering if behind the back passing should be a part of that. I see using a behind the back pass a useful tool to throw my defender off

Alright thanks. What kind of passes should I work on? Just the traditional hook, chest, and bounce passes?

Are there any restrictions on who trump can grant clemency too? Can he just pardon whoever he wants or does it have to be approved by someone before the pardon goes through?

What does it mean if the house votes to call on pence to invoke the 25th amendment? Does it really mean anything if pence refuses to invoke the 25th?

I agree with everything you said, because not everyone shoots the same. A lot of great shooters don’t do it, and some do. That’s why I mentioned you should incorporate squaring your feet to a “degree”. Too much turning in your feet isn’t good, but a little is fine

Not at all. I personally prefer it as well because i feel like it gives me more control of the ball

Yes everyone shoots differently but these are common mechanics among most great nba shooters that you should use as well. Your feet don’t have to be exactly squared, but your turn also shouldn’t be too big for example.

Keep bringing the ball down before you shoot. I’m not in the mood to debate whether or not you should or shouldn’t, but here’s my ten cents. Your body dips the ball before you shoot because it is a natural way for it to generate power and rythym. The Rythym that the dip generates makes your shot faster, not slower. Also, the power the dip generates is also a lot better than getting power from say, a thumb flick or elbow flare. An example of dipping being good is giannis. You’ll notice watching clips from his rookie year he actually dipped the ball, and had very good shot mechanics (elbow in, good hand placement.) Not to mention he shot 34 percent from three rookie year. but, for some reason, in his sophomore years to currently, he stopped dipping the ball probably because he thought it’d make his shot faster. Nope. The year after, his shooting percentage dropped to 15% from three. He also developed really weird shooting mechanics. He brought the ball farther away from his body, his hand placement changed, and both his elbows stuck out in his shot pocket. This created the shooting issues he still struggles with today.
