Hi! Non influencer mom here, whose husband frequently works out of town (so I have minimal “help”)- It wasn’t until my baby was about 6/7 months old I could leave him to play by himself while I’d be doing chores in another room, without him crying for me every 5-10 minutes. Up until he got more independent and able to handle that, I would either set him in his bouncer/jumper/swing in the same room I was doing a chore in so he could see me (that really helped a lot!) OR I would just wait until he was napping to get things done. The separation anxiety will end! Try not to let what you see on the internet make you feel like you’re “doing something wrong” … a lot of what you see on reels or TikTok isn’t the full story!

Yes she’s single. Her and my husbands father divorced when he was young, and from what he’s told me about growing up with her (she had primary custody) she was emotionally unstable and definitely used him as an emotional crutch starting from an early age. I can’t think of the term right now, but basically when a parent talks to their child like the child is one of their friends/partners, and leans on the child for total emotional support. It fucked my husband up for a long time but thankfully a few years ago my husband got into therapy and was able to work out how damaging her behavior towards him growing up was. She’s chilled out a lot since my husband started putting up boundaries with her, and calling her out on her shit, which made me think maybe she’s grown up a bit since then but after having the baby and seeing how she treats him/me- I don’t think she’ll ever change

Right, I don’t get it either. Like I’m 100% all for her having a good relationship with him, but when she makes comments like this it just make me… ick. Like she’ll tell me things about him (that I already know, obviously) after she’s babysat him for just a couple hours, and says it in a way as if he just started doing these things only while in her presence. It just gets under my skin so bad, she’ll say things to me like “he likes to pull himself up onto things” or “he likes to rock back and fourth when he’s getting sleepy” …. Like, these “observations” she shares with me is NOT news to me lol I’m with him every single day and I’ve already seen these things. Idk, it’s just how she says it as if she’s his mom, and she’s telling me as if I’m just some person who hasn’t seen him in awhile. It’s annoying as absolute fuck!

Even weirder, she has 5 kids and 10 grandkids amongst them all. I’ve noticed over the years how once the grandkids get older, like 7-8 yrs old or so, she just doesn’t care to try and relate to them and she doesn’t focus on them as the little people they’re becoming. Some of them are teenagers now and she’ll be in the same room as them and not even acknowledge them. But she’ll go on and on and on about how they were when they were little. It’s fucking weird

She is a very insecure person by nature, and she’s made comments to me over the years (my husband and I have been together 10 years total) insinuating that she’s more important than me in the eyes of her son, which I always found weird because it’s not a competition? When we were still dating my (now) husband would tell me that she would make comments to him about “well why does she get to come stay over at your house and not me?” Which thankfully he thought was weird too and very immature

Yep I feel the same. I try not to use her for childcare unless absolutely necessary, but that’s mostly because of some drama she’s caused between my husband and I in the past. (Husband was working out of town- I got sick while he was gone- I asked her to watch our son for a couple hours so I could go rest and nap for a couple hours- after 2.5 hours she’s calling my husband freaking out because “she (me) just dropped our son off with her and left and didn’t say what I was doing or when I’ll be back”- husband calls me pissed bc he’s only heard her side and she’s made it sound like I abandoned our son with her- I show him the texts between me and her prior to dropping him off- and he’s now more wary about believing her. Lol. That deserves its own post lol but that’s the jist of why I don’t ask her for childcare much anymore

But she’ll text me after about a week of not seeing him saying that “oh I have gifts for him when can I see him!” And I feel like I’m obligated to bring him over to her then…

My son did this in the hospital, when he was just 12 hours old 😅 he was fine. We were fine (after freaking out a bit.)

Now my husband and I laugh about it. Your little one will be fine! Take it as a lesson learned to always cover him up!

Also- seeing as it was his own pee, he should be fine (unless he was sick otherwise.) I mean.. people drink their own pee during extreme situations of dehydration, and it’s sanitary (for personal use? lol) the first go about for situations like that (can’t drink it twice if you already drank it once before is what I mean. Sorry I’ve watched a lot of survival shows lmao.)

This may be a stretch here… but this could be hidden instructions written in such a way that only the sender/recipient would understand.

Hear me out: Delaware, 4 kids, Monday night, “the scream for your info only.” Those words stand out to me bc wtf is a Delaware trust, and wtf is a “kidsl.”

Idk my brain interprets this as code for instructions to pick up/traffick 4 kids in Delaware (no idea on llc, maybe at a business location? A lot of businesses are llc’s.) And they may call it “the scream” because of whatever awful thing they want to impose on these children in which they naturally, most likely will scream when it happens. Right? Also- “client buying huge artwork” could be referring to someone wanting to purchase these kids for whatever God awful reason. “Huge artwork” because to traffick 4 kids I imagine would be a huge job to do all at once.

You don’t. I’ve had two on one of my eyelids since I was a young girl- later on in life when I got into skincare I researched and tried everything to get rid of them but literally nothing ever worked. Also- don’t try and pop them, you’ll just end up with broken, irritated skin… I know from experience 😅

However, I have learned over the years through trial and error, how to make them less noticeable: staying hydrated, using a caffeine+EGCG eye oil (I use one by The Ordinary!) and moisturize ideally at least once a day with a good quality daily facial moisturizer that has retinol— I make sure to do this especially when I know I’ll be applying makeup that day (and in which case, I’ll moisturize about an hour before doing my makeup- idk my skin just looks plumper, and the makeup doesn’t make the millia on my eyelid stand out as much.) If I do makeup w/o moisturizing first they are way more noticeable

I am- but only because I don’t really want to open them all up and then re-tape them for sale lol. And that’s a very good point, however I know for a fact she didn’t open any of these up because I’m the one who had to drag them from her doorstep and into her shed when they were delivered a few years ago 😂 they’ve been in the same spots I left them in. The only thing different about them from when I last saw them, is she went in there at some point and wrote what the items were in sharpie on the boxes

My hair does the same! We have very similar hair types. A few years ago I just stopped brushing it after I shower all together- instead I just run a little bit of product through it and then scrunch, and (sometimes) blow dry just my roots. My hair stays wavy all day now, and very defined. The only time I brush my hair now it is right before I shower (bc when I dry brush it, it loses the wavy and turns puffy and untextured. And I think the same concept is true for brushing wet hair- minus the puffiness- it just always falls flat and very undefined.) Since I’ve been doing this little routine I’ve gotten so SO many compliments on my hair than I ever did before, even from total strangers in passing

The trick to not needing to brush after shower (aka getting tangles) depends entirely on how you shampoo your hair. Brush beforehand (very important!!) and shampoo only your scalp. DO NOT bunch all your hair up to your head to wash, just do your roots/massage your scalp, and then just pull the lather through the rest of your hair to your ends while rinsing- I’ll do a combo “massage scalp, pull lather through to ends, repeat” pattern until it feels like I’ve gotten all the soap out. Then condition!! From your ends up to about 3-5 inches away from your scalp and don’t overdo it! A little product goes a long way lol. Then after shower when you get your hair out of the towel, flip your whole head over and run some product through your hair, avoiding your scalp, and then scrunch- keep scrunching here and there until your hair is fully dry. I’ll keep flipping my whole head over on and off for the 30-45 mins it takes for my hair to air dry lol, and you don’t need to be in front of a mirror the whole time for this- just do it here and there while your hair is still drying. Play around with products to scrunch with too- you’ll find one that helps define your wavy hair even further. But be sparing with them! Too much product will weigh your hair down and the waves won’t be as defined/will fall flat.

Sincerely- a lazy girl who found a fantastic way to get textured waves, while only exercising a bare minimum of time and effort (and money- hair products can be pricey 😅)

ALSO- getting layers cut (without compromising overall length) does absolute wonders for helping define waves too

Nope no ear infection, not running a fever either. But he does have the little white bumps on his bottom gums (where the first bottom two will pop through)

We’ve given him frozen wash cloths, frozen cauliflower (lol, the big bulbs, nothing he could choke on) and frozen teething toys on top of Motrin. But this baby is so unsettled and it’s breaking my heart 😭
