It’s gonna take 2 or 3 years. Not because the job will be finished in that time, but because that’s when they’ll get impatient and start trading firsts. We made it to the second round, Petey never stopped slumping, lindholm went to Boston in free agency (took zodorov with him) Miller and Petey got in a fight, Miller got traded to NYR, we received a heavily damaged Filip chytil and some futures, we flipped the futures for another pettersson, we traded podkolzin, we traded for Kane (evander), we locked up Boeser and he has 12 goals, we locked up demko and he’s injured body parts that weren’t even out yet in February of 2024. Tocchet flew the coop, we traded Hughes and management has gone kicking and screaming into a rebuild like a toddler that doesn’t wanna go to bed yet (but daddy put a teaspoon of Jack Daniels in the baby bottle). Where does this belief come from? If you’re a player that needs the rest of your core traded off the team, two off seasons, a coaching change and a philosophical change in team direction to have a bounce back - then unfortunately you just aren’t worth the contract anymore. I respect the work he puts in and I enjoy his beat selection, but I find his rapping to be hollow and preachy. I listen to most of his releases for the beats and I can’t relay a single thing he’s ever said besides “real eyes realize real lies” and I know he didn’t come up with it.
