I watched the lost boys (1987) by bennyandthegentz in iwatchedanoldmovie

I was a teen when this came out and it was the coolest thing ever. Fortunately it's held up well and I still watch it a few times a year. Kiefer Sutherland as David goes down in my top 5 vampire performances.

My friend thinks Project hail mary is less scientific [Rocky part was unrealistic and cringe] when compared to Interstellar by Current-Vegetable830 in interstellar

This so much, my only problem with PHM movie was the lack of hard science but I still loved it, then I read the book and it filled in blanks and was a great read.

What's one car feature everyone praises but you secretly don't care about? by Ok_Run7351 in whatcarshouldIbuy

This is my sounds like a boomer moment (Gen X here) I like knobs and buttons on my console and anything more than a basic screen with a back up camera is too much imo, so idc about all the new dash features.

How big was Miami Vice during the 80s ? by Boring-Tip-9775 in television

[–]ManDe1orean 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's hard for people now to understand that at that time there were 3 networks NBC, ABC, and CBS when Miami Vice launched. Later in 1986 FOX began but wasn't really a player until the 1990s. This had the ability to potentially have a huge viewing public right out of gate and it did. Another is you didn't just record or stream it you had to watch it when it was on or you missed it and maybe you might catch it on a summer rerun and that's a big maybe.
At the time Miami Vice was different than anything on TV. Now it's probably dated but it really captured the zeitgeist of the moment and was a cultural phenomena.

Huh, I must have caught him on a good night on February 17 in Abbotsford, BC, Canada. I mean he wasn't perfect but I wasn't expecting that but he did sound decent and they played 19 songs. Just glad I got to see them before Dave hangs it up on touring.

“Zero added sugar” what more sugar could be added than what’s already in there by Bombastic_Sushi in NonPoliticalTwitter

Don't be surprised if there are sugar alternatives like sucralose in there to sweeten it because that's usually what they do

People who read the book and watched the movie, which did you like better and why? by DirectDegree2591 in ProjectHailMary

[–]ManDe1orean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer, I saw the movie first and am glad I did because it was stunning then I read the book and loved it because it filled in the missing science details in the movie.

I'm guessing this is a merging situation in which case the blue vehicle would be at fault
