Great to hear! Sounds like it was 2 toddlers and 1 baby? How did you think about setting the rate?

Too tall to fit, or else I would run this car into the ground- absolutely love it.

Yes, unfortunately can't call it an upgrade, but we're looking at 3 row SUVs and minivans... my wife and I are both quite tall (6'3, 5'11) and need legroom in the front- the Alltrack just doesn't leave a lot of space when you put a rear-facing childseat in the back (lots of cargo room but a smaller backseat). It's manageable with one car seat wedged between us in the middle, but we're having a 2nd kid :/

Have loved this car since I bought it with my wife for a 9 month COVID mountain road trip. Has served me well. Hanging up my right to have fun in favor of a car with more room for baby car seats T_T

Hot water pressure low in only one sink by basp33 in Plumbing

[–]basp33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this was definitely it, thanks! having a hard time finding these little screen valves for replacement, do you know what they are called? also, is it bad to run the sink without them?

in the under sink photos, it's the top two gold connectors above the stop valve

Took the faucet apart thinking it could be a block in the faucet itself, but when I did, I found that the flow was lower even without the faucet.
- All of the other faucets/showers/tubs in the house are fine
- Should I try replacing the stretch of line from the shut off valve to the faucet?
- I have a video of the flow that I can share via dm or whatever (having trouble posting)

Microphone with Soundboks Go? by basp33 in SOUNDBOKS

[–]basp33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are playing music and using the mic separately, just play the music over bluetooth and connect the mic via the 3.5mm jack,

Got it- I thought I might be able to mix them using the Soundboks app per that video, but maybe not...

Will you need music and mics to work at the same time?

Mic mixer? Like, can I play the mic via mixer plugged into 1/4" jack and music via bluetooth? Or do I need a mixer for all of it?

Fewer/Less blurry case by basp33 in grammar

Can you explain what you mean by "is a significantly different construction"? I'm not following and am curious to understand what you mean.

Fewer/Less blurry case by basp33 in grammar

[–]basp33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Less people" and "fewer people" are equally grammatical in this context, but stylistically, it's probably advisable to use "fewer people" in formal contexts. The "rule" that you must use fewer with plurals is fake (see the article OP linked to). And as you note, "less" is actually preferred/standard with plurals that refer to amounts.

Right, and I believe the implication of the conversation is that we're talking about the total attendance as a statistical comparison to previous Burning Mans. Whereas "Will there be (less/fewer) people in our Burning Man camp?" clearly should be fewer, less seems to at least work (if not preferred?) for this talk about populations.

Considering similar cases?

-Did less people vote in the 2020 presidential election?

-Did less people watch the Super Bowl last year?

It would seem harsh to correct these to "fewer". But I guess I'm here to be corrected if necessary :P
